Hah cool, I designed that one at Dreamwave back in the day. I was the one laying out the Armada MTMTE books, and when I got to Sideways I thought the page looked kind of empty without an Autobot or Decepticon symbol, so I just threw that in there. Huzzah!

actually, he's primarily a dark god. The planet mode was created as an adaptation of being imprisoned in the Earth-120185 Universe in order for him to destroy said universe.

Yeah, but "in universe" nobody, including his servants, have seen him in that form. (Only Primus himself would know what pre-planet Unicron looked like...)

 

He simply existed for eons as a planet-eating planet, then transformed, then blew up.
