I hope the new minicons don't also mean the return of that stupid Powerlinx feature. Speaking of.. why did they decide that the current Autobot combining thing should have the same name as when they combined with their minicons?

 

 

As for where they went, aren't they supposed to have "evolved" into the Omnicons? Or was that part of the comic book storyline?

The concept of minicons, smaller robots adding power to larger ones, was ok. However, the execution of that concept was horrible. I mean, how can a HELICOPTER be a MINIcon that attaches to the back of a small car? The scale on the minicons was awful. If they had stuck to smaller vehicles as alt modes, it would have been better. There were tanks, supersonic jets, bulldozers, cars, trucks, etc. that were anything but "mini" in real life, attaching to autobots and decepticons that would have been the same size vehicle as the minicon in alt mode. Doesn't make sense.

I like the Minicons, I just didn't like the fact that some of them had earth modes that were cars. The Bikes and scate board made sense because of thier size, but a car and Suv? I think not...

i miss the minicons...but aslong as they still make new basic figures and they mix it up (like the first 2 waves of energon) then it will be great

Since there are only 6 minicons(not including ramjet) I wish they played more of an important role instead of just being Kicker's tools to be used. I think it's really sad that Perceptor just stands there lifelessly waiting to be used. I also think they should have voices now. On the few episodes that have the minicons in robot mode the other Transformers talk directly to them so they could have given then some type of generic voice. Given the fact the the Minicons didn't want to be tools it seems like that's all they are and they're okay with it? Instead of introducing Kicker they could have had the minicon doing crazy dangerous stuff.

During the last season of Armada, the Minicons kept intermittently speaking English. I don't think they ever explained that, though..
