The concept of minicons, smaller robots adding power to larger ones, was ok. However, the execution of that concept was horrible. I mean, how can a HELICOPTER be a MINIcon that attaches to the back of a small car? The scale on the minicons was awful. If they had stuck to smaller vehicles as alt modes, it would have been better. There were tanks, supersonic jets, bulldozers, cars, trucks, etc. that were anything but "mini" in real life, attaching to autobots and decepticons that would have been the same size vehicle as the minicon in alt mode. Doesn't make sense.

Dude you said it! It made no sense, how the Autobots werent allowed to transform in that show in front of humans. But, it was perfectly ok for an SUV to have a 3-foot long crane truck sitting on its roof, oh NO, no one would have thought something was up with that!

I liked the street team, and the other bikes b/c they made sense with the larger vehicles. I always thought the minicons were a good idea badly executed. The Minicons should have been either small sized vehicles (like bikes, jetskis, snowmobiles, etc) or accessories for the vehicles they attached to, like satellites for Jetfire, cluster rocket packs for Cyclonus, or a bike attached to the back of an SUV. Dead End being a mini-Death Star for Unicron or Ramjet being a plane on Tidlal Waves aircraft carrier mode made sense, but the scale with everyone else was goofy.

The guys that had a 3rd individual weapon form were OK though.

Dead-End is a moon and jetfire had a luner rover that was somewhat in scale.

I love Mini-Cons.

I was happy to learn that they will continue into the next line, but I hope that they don't detract from the larger figures. There were some Armada toys that suffered because of their fellow mold Mini-Con partners. Ideally speaking, I'd prefer to see just teams released here and there, keeping them separate molds from the larger Transformers, and only taking up a small space in the Basic price point.

I'd like to keep the Basics, as we've seen some awesome toys in that size class in Energon, so one Mini-Con team per wave would suit me just fine. :clap

:thumb Yeah me too!!

I don't mind the minicons as long as they do not impede the making of more basic sized TF's. I would never want them to take any sort of priority over individual basics.

remember how there were those extra headmasters figures in japan without a body but just to be used in conjunction with existing headmasters?

remember how there were animal headmasters?

i'd like to see some minicons with animal forms.

please.

make it happen.

otherwise i'll need a terminal disease so i could ask the make a wish foundation to do this.

so please.

make it happen.

GOT TO HAVE THEM ALL *MINICONS*

I can see that, so long as the animal form IS the robot form, like those japanese headmaster guys and like Ravage, Laserbeak, etc.

Thats a real good point too, the E-basics are for the most part great figures, no way minicons are going to replace the need for strong designs at a $7 price.

maybe that is how we may see rumble and frenzy and the cassetes in cybertron (they do deserve a rebirth)

Yeah vehicle to beast minicons or weapon to beast or spy device to beast.
