Hey,

 

As ive bought movie rescue Ratchet and converted him to fit in with the alternators, I needed something to do with the original movie Ratchet. He will become Roadbuster!

I've changed the head and hands, and added more black to the roof. I have removed the roof cage and bumper.

I am planning to add military decals, probably reprolabels alt Hound set, some missle turrets to the roof and a mounted anti-aircraft gun. In bot mode he will have a mini missle array fold out instead of the axe

So I wouldn't really call it "Alt", but then again it looks awesome and movie Ratchet is a cool figure as base ... so who cares for scale and interior ;)

Yeah I know the vehicle mode is out of scale, but the bot mode fits right in. And even then the cars not too far out as long as you ignore the fact that its a massive vehicle :)

 

Sorry if you thought it was a waste CJ69 but I had a spare head and thought it suited well. But feedback is appreciated whether positive or not

I gotta me honest here, aside from the scale issue, I just can't see you can make the design aesthetic work. They're two very different styles. The Alternators have a very slick Japanese look to them, but the movie designs go in pretty much the opposite direction of being very fiddly and "textured" with non-functional detail. (I swear someone involved in the movie must have said "If these robots are really aliens from another planet, then we have to make them look like H.R. Giger designed them!")

 

While the head and hands go a long way to improving the look of the figure (IMO), I think if you put one movie figure in a line up with five Alternators, it'll stick out like a sore thumb. (And vice versa of course.)

Maybe for the Classics line? The hands work great..What are they from? I don't know the character you're going for here, but are you changing his paint aps at all, or just leaving it the medical stuff and green search and rescue coloring?

The hands are from the alt Jeep - they fit perfect. I intend on putting some military labels on them and trying to remove the search and rescue stuff.

As for the custom in question, great effort dude! Always great to see something new.

i think it looks really cool.

 

and as for the alt issue, the size is the only problem i see. not each alt has the same style body parts so who's to say that this doesn't fit? but when you put them side by side in alt mode, then maybe they don't match. but who cares? you do what you like.

 

i would make the thighs grey/black to match the forearms though.
