It's a snazzy coaster!

you can watch it.

it's got, like, giant robots and stuff, theres a plot there as well, plus for all of it's holes, it's an alright plot and one of the most entertaining films i saw this year.

i'm still waiting on a dvd fwiw (it's like bloody waiting for it to come out all over again :grr)

Oh, PC. What would a movie thread be without you hating.

Kinda like how you'd be being "fair" if you reprimanded everyone for the millions of other off topic joke posts on this board, instead of just me? :tftongue

Those other posts don't sap my will to live. I mean, seriously..... everyone knows how you feel about the movie. Everyone.

Being effective military personal (Epps) is a poor stereotype?

No, but having him chock full of "Street" attitude and having him demanding "the bringing of it" was. Why every black character on screen always be actin' all street?

I thought Epps was only slightly less stereotypical than having Jazz query "What's shakin', little Protectobots?" and stating "This looks like a good place to kick it." It felt SO stereotypical to me, in fact, it felt like it was the stereotypical way that stereotypical clueless white people think stereotypical black people talk.

And also, I miss Scatman Crothers.

:pfx the Jazz speech made me cringe. also one of my mates saw the movie and told me that it was when he said that line that he wanted him to die.

that in itself makes me think they didn't do Jazz right. he should have been more "Hey guys! What's shaking?" in the way that Scatman did best.

:redface *has just realised that he is further into Geekdom then he realised*

Oh well. my point still stands

I also cringe at "What's crackin', little bitches?". It's horribly embarrassing. And the Ratchet line doesn't play as well without a theater full of people to guffaw at it.

Wait...

Sapping your will to live is a reason for me to... stop?

Your whole premise doesn't make any sense...

:tflaugh , a good, out-loud, :tflaugh at that.

I was the most swept up in the movie during the AB landing sequence, I LOVE IT. Then Jazz opens his mouth and the movie turns back into a train wreck full of toddlers.
