Who in the world voted for Beast Wars?

Not I. You know you have a great show when people who care nothing for TFs can enjoy it.

Really Beast Wars ended up to be one of the best if not the very best TF series. Like Bizzmoff stated, "people who care nothing for TFs can enjoy it." It was a show for the fans (Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio) actually cared what we thought. It gave us articulated figures and revived the series for new and old fans. And at the time the even cleaned up the continuity and merged the comics and cartoon continuities together into one. :tfevil

Must agree, BW:TF had a great end, despite (or perhaps because of) Mega's going biblical.

I just loathed RiD. Predacons turned into the comic relief? No way, mate.

Armada... well, :tfpuke .

They both stink.

I don't care for the "manga-ization" of the Transformers series. The scantily clad sex objects I see in Energon, the dialogue (announcing everything they do), the Pokemon-style nonsense, the lame-o comedy relief, the hyperactive worrysome villians always perspring (Skybite from RiD) and prancing around with anxiety and doing backflips when they get excited (Demolisher from Energon) . . . these are ROBOTS!

I always loved that one :tflaugh Music from NES "Rad Racer" and all...

Oh and maybe its personal bias, maybe its not being able to let go of the original version, but theres NO WAY that cackling buffoon in Armada can possibly stack up against the original Cyclonus.  To me, he was one of the more fully developed characters in G1, and you really learned a thing or two about him along the way.

And just how could you be hatin' on A-E Cyclonus/Snowcat? He's the crazy, psychotic madman who loves to blow stuff up and kill people, only he rarely ever does and instead usually gets his ass kicked. He's the comic relief character. Every group of villians need their own comic relief character. They can't all be dark and brooding bad asses, no, you need someone like A-E Cyclonus/Snowcat to make the audience laugh and to make the other villians look good. Besides, he has some of the best lines in the series. "Oh, JOY!" "YEEHAHAHAHA!" "My butt! What have you done to my poor butt?!!" "Morale? You gotta be kiddin' me! We've never had morale around here!" "Yodelyodelyodellayheihoo!" "Don't worry, I'm fine." "Let me at 'em."

:lol :thumb

You said it right there. He's rarely ever successful at his little tirades. Of course I wouldnt want to see all dark brooding badasses, a Cyclonus or BM Thrust is great here and there, but as to careening psychos, I dig those too. And I think that Wildrider was the most believeable. He laughed and cackled wildly while tearing around, when he did it it was cool. Yodeling in any form must be stopped, however. Like country music and potted meat, it is one of the true evils of the world.

I love comic reliefs, too. Starscream played that role in G1 pretty often as did Rumble. But thats not all that they were, which is why it was truly funny when something happened to those guys, instead of just being a cliche that you saw coming all along.

G1 had its problems, I totally agree. The continuity sucked when it even existed, the animation couldve been much better and some of the lines in that show were pretty weak too. But like someone else said, that was 20 years ago too, you'd think things would get better.

G1 = classic. Yeah it had its goofy moments, but I still loved it

BW- great series, but not the best. To me its praised b/c it was the first transformers series we had in a long time. Also, becuase the writers had ALOT of liberty in the writing. That's why BM didn't do as well b/c they were given restrictions by Hasbro after the success BW had.

RiD - didn't really watch it, but from what I've seen it was pretty bad.

Micron Dentetsu was a pretty damn good series, the Armada writers just really screwed up with the dubbing. It's the same with Energon...not as good as Superlink.

Except Wildrider didn't have nearly half the screentime or characterization Cyclonus/Snowcat has, nor is he as entertaining.

And things _have_ gotten better. Ever watched Energon? Best TF series EVER. Fact, not an opinion. :thumb

Armada's writers (and I use the term extremely loosely), did little other than stretch the crap that they put together to reach that magical 22 minute mark.  The vast majority of every episode is the characters standing around, doing nothing except stare at each other.  Perhaps the most poorly paced show in the history of television.

That was the BEST review of Armada I have ever read!!! :sun Great Job! :sun

you guys summed up the entire armada series in basically a paragraph and half, nice job :thumb

RiD, that sucked. Anyone remember the episode where they were cleaning up the park? That was one of the weirdest TF show I've ever seen. Armada coming in right behind though. Both were torture to watch
