Megatron & Sam

Recommended Posts

I think the writers didn't want Sam to die. Really, like you said, Megs had him cornered and he could have just grabbed him at any point.......or maybe he know Sam could kill him with it???

I don't know about you, but Shia Lebouf scares the sh-t outta me.

:pfx I think he was just trying to get the allspark as quick as possible without worrying about it being buried under rubble if he chose to just Blast Sam. I think that his anger got the better of him which is why he attacked, forgetting what he was even after in that moment. Since he could have just grabbed sam.

See - I disagree with this, because of Megatron's "So unwise." line right after Sam refuses to give the Allspark to him. He doesn't just attack, he half-snarls and speaks in a fairly calm tone of voice. I think he really was toying with the idea of how a human would react to being given a choice of possibly living or dying over the right or wrong thing to do. Since he seemed interested in Sam's motivations with his "Is it courage or fear that compels you fleshling?"

Maybe it's just me.

I think the courage or fear line was just to be mean and scary. Even if he kept him as a pet, I think it would be of the Weird Ed Edison pet variety.

...look it up.

I don't think he would have made him his pet. I think he just wanted to see how a human, who is defying him, would react to being giving the choice of survival vs destruction over what is right and wrong.

Megatron understands "Right and Wrong" like an ant understands Thursdays.

But Megs knows he's an evil badass that wants to kill people. So - yeah I think he knows right and wrong in the sense of having compassion and feelings for others, or not as the case is.

How do you figure? I think he just wants those mobile grease stains to get the hell out of his way.

Prime thinks we're Life. Megs thinks we're ambuliatory.

Megs knows he wants to kill the weak. He doesn't like Prime's feelings on protecting the weak. Megatron considers the weak pointless, despite whatever other reasons. If you want to follow the prequel comics, Megs and Prime ruled Cybertron together...so Megs became power-hungry and lost his compassion and became obsessed with nothing but power and destruction. So - yeah, Megatron knows life and such, but it doesn't mean he cares to bother working around it if he views it as weak.

Yeah, but hes more like a sociopath. He doesn't understand why he shouldn't be allowd to just kill whatever he wants.

Maybe so, doesn't mean he wouldn't be interested in seeing how something reacts to it's own possible death. Megs is Evil.
