i want the character names changed for dear mercy. i cant specify that enough

The people's names, or the Transformer's names?

I mean the humans names, damn i should have been more specific. The transformers names are always perfect

Bought issue #0 last friday. After some doubt I went for the Megatron cover (was a close call between this one and the one with Prime -- still not sure I went for the right one, but I got all covers in digital version anyway).

Being that this is only an introduction I can't really say much about the story. Reading the interview with SF in the back, I did get a little intrigued, but also worried that perhaps the story won't focus enough on the TF's themselves. Time will tell.

As for the art... Well, let's just say I liked the art in the DW comics better. Sure, we haven't seen the robots yet, but I'm not really impressed with it. Will have to see where this is going.

On a final note, I was intrigued by Furman remark that they would update the alt modes of the TF's. I hope (but I'm not counting on it) that this will mean they will use the alternators.

they won't use the alternators (at least not exactly) because they don't own the 2-D rights to the cars, only the 3D ones.

I think you're just used to Transformer names like "Optimus Prime" and "Starscream". They sound goofy too.

but "Spike", "buster", "chip", "Sparkplug", and "blond slut who boned "Spike"" are a bit wierd.

I think what people are finding offputting about the new art is that it's not as flashy and refined as the Dreamwave stuff.

It doesn't seem to suffer so much in the line art as it does the coloring, IMO.

I haven't seen much of the artwork, but what I have seen was kind of weird. The perspective and proportions seemed off. It was very Marvel-esque IMO. But I'll remain open-minded.

It looks much better in real life, most of the details seem to get lost in the pics I've seen online. The coloring is a bit brighter than what people expect, but it doesn't bother me.
