Saaaaaad.

It ruins all my project :( .

finding a white paint tha will mach the roof is quite impossible. And I'm always afraid that the paint won't resist any transformation;

Thanks for your advice to you all but I'm afraid it will stay on the digibash stade so :'(

I wouldn't give up hope, Prowl's white should be pretty easy to match - just regular gloss white, it isn't a metallic flake or a subtle off-white (unlike, say BT Meister, who's white is both). Also, any paint would be on the outside of the doors, they're never really going to rub on anything so it should hold up to transformaton OK.

I just made up my mind and decided to do it anyway. I'll try to paint the doors white.

So anybody could give me some advice on the choose and the way to paint them ?

(I know, I could go directly to the "kitbash idiot guide" right away instead of asking this question)

Beside that, that translucid white plastic question seems so lame. Is the binaltech "Autolooper" white AND totally made of plastic ?

He's entirely plastic - but a difference between Takara and Hasbro is that Takara actually completely paints almost all of their plastic body panels anyway (Autolooper was molded in white, however).

Hello. It's me again. I'm waiting for my spare alternator Prowl to began this kitbash for real.

But I'm preparing others and I have a question to ask but don't want to open a new topic just for that.

Here is my question:

For my "shadow" army, I want to make a black alternator subaru, using Ricochet removing his horrible flame patern, swapping his ugly white parts with the Alt Somkescreen grey parts and painting the helmet black (and using the silver face of smokescreen too ).

The problem is that the waist part is white while the smokescreen one is blue. So I want to know (finally my question :s) if the waist part is cast in white plastic or in black plastic painted white. The smokecreen one is the same color as the car parts. Same for Red alert as it's cast in white (as the car) but painted black. So I guess Ricochet's is the same color of the car. Can somebody that own alt Ricoghet can look at the screw-hole behind his waist (OH MY...! what am I writing here ? :07redface ) and tell me whitch color of plastic it is ?

Thanks for your time.

Beside, with the Smokescreen body and the white parts of Ricochet, I'll try to do a hightway patrol car of "gendarmerie" (french military police) as they officially use this subaru (well actually the civil one, not the WRC but I don't want to paint all a car in blue) since 4 years. here is a pict.

Now that I think about that.... Alternator Jazz is totally cast in white....So I still wonder why. But that doesn't matter actually.

Richochets waist is black plastic painted white. Its on there pretty good, took me a bit of elbow grease to get it to come off.

Thanks for the info!!!

Paint is not a problem for me. 90° alcohol helped me to transform that stupid BTA Red alert into a decent Prowl. He now has white head, shoulders and abdomen and grey thighs.

So tell me now....the head is cast in black plastic too then ?

Yep, the head is too.
