Binaltech Prowl Super mode project

Chimneyville (google it!) has tons of police decals. Also, policecarmodel.com or something like that.

To complete the homage, you can strip the left third of the lightbar down to clear plastic (yes, it's painted clear red...at least on the Alt) with Windex or Goof Off! or something and paint it with transparent blue paint.

I was just about to say that. Ya beat me to it... Actually you could even use a dark blue Sharpie & some clear-coat, worked great on mine.

Thanks to you two for the advice. I think too that the all red lightbar wouldn't fit that color sheme.

so thanks again for the chimneyvilledecals idea! They even got some lightbar!!!! All I need to bring that custom to perfection :)

I plan to find an Alternator Prowl just too swap the hood and the doors (with the black paint removed) and add some decalc or stickers. Here are some digibash to give you an idea of the result.

One problem with your plan: Alternators Prowl is made of black plastic, all of the white on him is paint.

Really ? Come on....they did an almost all white robots with just some black parts cast with black? That's illogical !

Have you pictures to confirm that ?

You know what, I think he's right. I'll check tonight and see for sure.

My guess is that either the white didn't work for the body panels due to issues with transparancy (this was supposed to be the reason Hasbro didn't do a yellow Tracks) or they wanted more of the robot parts to be black, and since they were on the same sprues...

I have an all black Prowl at home I can take a picture of tonight (my sister has a black RSX, which is what inspired me to make him), basically all I did was remove the white off of the body panels and paint the roof black.

Saaaaaad.

It ruins all my project :(.

finding a white paint tha will mach the roof is quite impossible. And I'm always afraid that the paint won't resist any transformation;

Thanks for your advice to you all but I'm afraid it will stay on the digibash stade so :'(

I wouldn't give up hope, Prowl's white should be pretty easy to match - just regular gloss white, it isn't a metallic flake or a subtle off-white (unlike, say BT Meister, who's white is both). Also, any paint would be on the outside of the doors, they're never really going to rub on anything so it should hold up to transformaton OK.

Yep it's black plastic. Well thats too bad. I understand the hesitation when it comes to painting. I'm still leary about painting the exterior on any of my Alt. Customs, getting a nice smooth finish isnt exactly my forte. If you change your mind and want to give it a go though, just PM me. I dont think this Alt. Prowl will be going anywhere anytime soon.
