1 i draw my pic

2 go over it in a fine liner

3 scan it at 300 DPI and play with the brightness and contrast

4 do what ever editing i need (on this guy i needed to remove a mistake on one of the knee guards)

5 set that layer to Multiply in its settings (the bar on the right with a list of your layers)

6 make a layer and put it under the line art in order

7 use the polygonal lasso tool to mark out the areas and fill in with the colour i want (go a few shades darker and grayer then what you want it to be when) your done

8 make a new layer called shadows and place it over your colours and under your line art then use the polygonal tool again to mark out the areas in a strong shadow and fill the layers in with black and when your done turn the opacity of the layer down to about 30-40% depending on your taste

9 make another layer called Highlights and set it too Overlay and place it on top of all your other layers now use the brush tool (using pure white) to high light the areas you want brighter (for my settings i use a brush with none of little blurry edges set to 40% fill and 20-10% opacity) and when your done turn the opacity of the layer down to 60-70%

10 make a new player for more shadows and place it on top of the other shadow layer and use the same brush with a pure black colour to go in-between the gaps and cracks giving some depth hopefully

11 make a new layer for highlights same settings as the other highlights layer and do them again but be more precise and set the opacity a bit higher if you want

12 yep an other highlights layer this time to do the edges, glass, and really bright areas

13 now thats all done go select all then copy merged and paste into a new image (it should automaticly resize the canvas based on what's in your clip board)

14 now just play around with brightness and contrast and colour balcence and shrink it down to what ever size you want and your done

I was hoping you were going to say something about a 5$ box of color pencils. Does this mean I have to buy a tablet? Or do you do all that selecting with a mouse?

i use a mouse i have a tabelt but dont believe the hype

Sweet, thanks. I'll be playing around with that later on.

Nice I really don't mind the way soundwave look as long as he has more then just laserbeck around

:tflaugh "LaserBeck"

indeed the axe can transform into laser beak

I haven't seen anything that confirms that. As cool as that'll be.

I was at the Hasbro panel at Comic Con. They said there that the guitar transforms into Laserbeak.

I'm pretty excited with the new directions they've been trying. Not just with Animated, but also with Soundwave the last few times around. First a tape deck, then a stealth jet, then an MP3 player, now a xBish car.

Perhaps next he will be a radio communications tower. Man, that would be.... hmmm.... no, that would be lame.
