Transformers are way advanced

Recommended Posts

Did anyone notice in the movie that Transformers' bodies are context sensitive. I mean not only can they scan a new alt mode but what ever they need, their bodies can just create it on the fly.

Examples. Frenzy is decapitated. Instead of just lying there helpless, his neck instantly becomes legs. Bumblebee's hand becomes a gun, Prime's hand, a blade, Barricade makes his headlights and hands into blade weapons, Megatron's cannon and hand mase. It leads me to believe that, if a bot wanted to, they'd never have to have the same robot appearance ever. For instance, Let's say Ironhide feels he needs four arms for his current battle. Poof! His arms seperate and he has four arms. Or, Bumblebee falls into the sea and out of no where, a visor pops over his face with lights and a propeller system comes out of his back to help him navigate the waters. I mean, it make the G1 toon seem less silly when they did stuff like changed their tires into jetskis.

Any one else see where I'm going with this?

I am guessing they have certain limitations. Because otherwise BB could of made his remaining parts of legs split into long thin legs.

They're not created on the fly. Their weapons are built into them. Better than having them appear out of thin air like in the cartoon (looks at MTMTEP1 with Cliffjumper's BFG)

Ratchet's saw blades of doom probably fold up to such an insane degree that to their race might seem logical, but to us is amazing. And once they're folded, they're probably stored in those yellow areas on his forearms. That's where his gun is stored on his right arm. We see panels open and things collapse/expand/fold to form their weapons. You'll see this in great detail when Ironhide is convinced that Mojo is not a threat and we get a shot from his POV looking at Sam holding Mojo, and we see his weapons folding and collapsing for storage.

What about Frenzy's neck legs and his eyes showing in radio mode? I agree with the limitation idea too. It just seems like thier bodies are 100% convertible to me. Like if Screamer scanned a stealth bomber in mid flight, his body would totally change and his robot mode would be altered.

I'm not saying it's like they are made of liquid metal but their techno DNA or what ever, gives them the ability to shift and morph their body parts to whatever is needed. In the movie especially, their alt mode kibble is capable of bending and folding in a way that is not natural just to make their bodies more compact and manuerable.

I think his "neck legs" were probably just an extension of part of his neck that he tried to adapt- as far as his eyes in radio mode, he's just partially transformed...I don't see how that example is extraordinary.

They were totally formed crab like legs that came out of no where. Not just loose parts being moved around.

That why their called Transformers. Of course it's not natural. They're aliens. And technologically advanced ones to boot.

In regards to what you said about Starscream's robot mode changing shape if he scanned a different alternate mode. Ummm...no. We see Bumblebee scan a different alternate mode in the movie. His robot mode changes in the manner of his chest and how it went from the front end of a Classic Camaro to the front end of a Camaro Concept. That's it. Nothing else about his robot mode changed. So I think his transformation might be different, but his robot mode would do it's best to be the same looking with a different choice of alternate mode pieces.

I can't specifically recall-- when they first land and are in robot mode, looking around for something to scan to turn into, are they completely "basic" robots at that point? I mean, do they still have like random tires and windshields sticking out of weird places on their bodies despite not having picked their vehicle form yet?

while they are Basic robots when they first land, they dont neccisarily have tires and windows, but they have parts resembling those peices-check out the protofrom prime figure. he has round black thins on hime that look like wheels but actually aren't. now their pre earth modes only vaguly resemble their eaarth robot modes, and starscream has a completly different body build. so i think they can alter body peices as needed. while they still retian permanant on board weopons. and i think barricades blades come out os the wheels of his car mode. like the tire splits in half and the blades pop out from inside the rim.
