LOl. Lot of a haters here, eh readers? I like some of the designs, but I get the feeling that the movie might increase the sales of Bionicle rather than TFs, if only for fans to kitbash them into "movie bots".

 

So anyone else got any "before and after the design process" pics?

I am sooooooo tired of the "Bionicle" thing. Especially because Bionicles are freaking HUGE with boys in the same demographic that used to be into Transformers in the 80's.

 

It's SO over and done. The movie's out, it's making an assload of money, and Bay's TF aesthetic has been vindicated in the only way that matters to the people who control TF sequels.

Before = blocky turds that looked good in 1984

 

After = awesome robot aliens that transform into awesome cars awesomely. That's all the comparison I have.

It doesn't bother me. I am just not the type of person that flip flops on stuff. I don't go OMG this is awesome and then a couple months down the road knocking it down. It happens alot here.

I was a bit worried by the designs at first when I saw unfinished concept sketches. But now I am ashamed of my shortsightedness.

Geez. I'm slow.

I never realized how similar the Bionicle Heroes and TFMovie game covers were. Only slightly, did I notice..but not so much.

 

Anyhow, to be fair; Traveller's Tales worked on both games.
