The Movie Robot Design Process

Recommended Posts

I'll take your words with a grain of salt, since they are spoken without first hand knowledge there of.

Indeed

You have to be pretty thick-skulled to not believe a whole hell of a lot more work went into making this film the the G1 cartoon OR film. While of course it has several degrees of product placement, that doesn't mean it's specifically attempting to "sell out" or whatever new reason people who dislike the movie have come up with to hate on it.

What? Almost every review has said that it lacked plot development for the characters, had hardly any screen time for the bots themselves and was a giant whizz-bang ride.

Blockbuster movies are there to make money in whatever way makes sense for that movie. It just so happens that many reviews, and other media (wvw.Lilformers.com) has made the comment that it was more "style over content", which is fair to say about almost any blockbuster movie.

Please, stop defending the movie at all angles. You simply cannot. It has flaws and just because I haven't seen it yet doesnt mean that my opinion, or the posting of others opinions by myself is any less valid.

Transformers has been said that it was designed to make money as a summer blockbuster and thus followed a certain format. It had lots of product placement, little or no development of the robots themselves and was also there to promote the Transformers brand. It's doing exactly what the G1 cartoon and the animated movie was designed to do at the end of the day and perhaps, if sales figures are anything to go by, its a lot more successful than either.

However, that doesnt mean that it doesnt have its flaws.

So please, some of you, wipe the rainbows off of your noses.

Please, see the movie before you try to review it.

But you see, that's the thing. The reviewers watched the film before making their judgement. You're just echoing an opinion someone else is telling you.

I could say "I hate apples". You say "why? They taste awesome." I say "'cause these guys here told me they taste horrible, so I'm never eating one."

Is this still going on? I mean, Blot man, go rant about Zelda/Celda while you're at it.

Please, see the movie before you try to review it.

No, I will post my opinion whether Ive seen it or not.

I never reviewed it anyway. I merely poked fun out of it. It's said that "we parody the things we love".

Please remember that not everyone in the world has had the opportunity to watch the movie yet.

This site is not an exclusive club for people who have both watched the movie and love it, old bean.

My apologies if you don't share my views or those of others. You are more than welcome to continue posting here or, if the mood suits you, to set me to ignore, or even, dare I type it, to move to another thread.

I hear there are whole threads just FULL of movie apologists. You can all shout "hater" at anyone who has even the slightest gripe.

I never said the movie was terrible anyway, which makes me laugh when peeps here say I have.

As for the apple thing below, all well and good. Just remember kids: Drugs are bad - don't take them.

I'm sure there are plenty of kiddies out there following suit.

Hey, here's a super thought, if you can find it within yourself not to be a retarded jack ass for five minutes, people might actually take the time to hear what you say. But as long as you haven't seen the movie, your "opinion" is null and void, so STFU.

I'm pretty much amazed you can judge it before even seeing it. I was psyched before I saw it, but still told myself that it could suck ass. And hey, it didn't. But that's only after I saw it, that I knew it.

Besides. Everybody knows Boncrushers head was based on a chocolatechip cookie. A very angry one.

No, the point is, mate, is that I posted a tongue-in-cheek thread about the design process and suddenly people like you decided, in your high-and-mighty wisdom that the post somehow offended your own blinkered worldview. I take it you feel the creators of South Park hate gays, mentaly disabled people and Jews? After all, they made fun of them in their shows?

I really hope you dont.

And like I said, I will post what I want wherever I want to. You are more than welcome to post whatever nonsense you deem worthy for anyone else to read yourself.

Maybe you feel the TF movie is some sort of minor deity? Feel free to hand out the leaflets, but PLEASE remember that this discussion board is not an exclusive club with the password being "Yeah maaannnnn I saw that bay flick and I was like....ALLLLLL over it, maaaan!".

I feel the movie has some errors but I will go and see it regardless. When it comes out in my country.

I await your hard-thought-out and painstakingly-crafted replies with anticipation. Perhaps the casual but predictable inclusion of the word "douche" might help you? That's always a classic. Or maybe include "suck", "hater", "blow" or other insightful American terminology? I always love USA street slang, you see.
