WHAT HAPPENED TO THE INSIGNIAS????

Recommended Posts

I like insignia's but I thought they were amply shown in the movie. I mean we saw the autobot symbol a bunch and barricade had his decepticon symbol on display too.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks they're ghey.

No, you're not. To me, a tf with a brightly visible faction symbol is akin to an ignorant redneck who plasters the american flag all over his pick-up truck in order to loudly proclaim how blindingly patriotic he is. Remember Swerve, the Clocker repaint from TF: Cybertron? You just know that a tf with a symbol that obtrusive is all "OH YEEEEAAH! Autobots are #1, Starscream! Let's kick some connie ass!". If I was Optimus Prime, I would use guys like that as cannon fodder since they would be too pig-ignorant to be good for anything else.

ya rly

to me, that was just a bone they tossed the fans. I thought it was fun that Barricade had a Decepticon symbol on him, the same way I thought it was fun that he had "To punish and enslave..." written on him. To be honest, that stupid Autobot face just looked out of place and ghey in the movie. I can accept cartoony names like "Optimus Prime" and "Megatron" because they're supposedly translations from Cybertronese or whatever, where they'd sound like HWWOOOOORRRRRHRRHHWHWWHHOOHRHHWHRR or whatever. But the face... it's not very cool.

I like the face...and I thought the faction symbols had just the right amount of exposure.

I agrees. :07dance

well I look at it like this, all soldiers have uniforms. Not so much to distinguish each other in battle, but just as a show of allegiance or loyalty. Like the american flag that's on all military uniforms in some form or another. The transformers don't have uniforms, but they have their "flag". in the movie, since we know that all transformers are "autobots" including the faction megatron created they would all have that symbol maybe as a brand or something, but Megatron would want his own "brand" that would look like a bastardized version of the autobot symbol, and I think he'd make his soldier's where it after the war broke out as a sign of "we belong to megatron"

To add to my last post, I think Prime stopping right in front of Sam and Mikaela, with his Autobot insignia in all it's glory in the center of the screen was enough for me.

And as for Unicron, if they were ever to bring him into the movie (which would be a little ridiculous) he would have to be a Meteor, because you'd have to deal with all these scientific problems, having a planet sidle up to another planet and all.

What would be ridiculous about it? They could go a million different directions with the story- of course they'd have to tie humans in to make it more appealing, but Unicron could just as well devour earth (partially or wholly) just as he did other planets...

HEY THERE GOES ANOTHER IDEA!! LOL....UNICRON COULD DEVOUR EARTH PARTIALLY, AND THE SURVIVING HUMANS (CLINGING TO LIFE) WOULD BE GIVEN TRANSFORMING EXOSKELETONS (THE ABILITY TO TRANSFORM) BY THE AUTOBOTS....THAT WAY ITS APPEAL WOULDN'T BE SACRIFICED BY BEING TO 'TRANSFORMER' HEAVY....

'HUMAN CYBORG' ALMOST CAME OUT BUT NO THE HECK WITH THAT...THEY WOULD NEED ANOTHER FORMAL NAME...SOMETHING COOL.

Anyway, while Unicron does devour earth, they need to show the mass destruction, the chaos, the madness, the death...human victims being sucked into a painful, violent, crushing death

OR....

After Unicron's attack, a redone, reborn Megatron attempts to make slaves of the surviving humans (again earth is only partially devoured) while the autobots fight unceasingly to stop him.

Megatron viewing humans as nothing more than a great mass of potential slaves to be put to work producing and manufacturing energon.....

We can only imagine.

...the senseless tears...the demented cries...

How the decepticons would ache for such scenes of infinite suffering...so much death.

Unicron is stupid. There's no reason why a giant planet would turn into a robot, much less a bipedal one. What does he need legs for?

Unicron wouldn't have any reason to transform..plus his transformation would be ridiculously complex to be done in a non-animated film, not to mention being convincing to the audience.
