In the movie, we see, near the end of the movie, at the climactic battle, Starscream in a dogfight with a squadron of other fighters, also all Raptors. Starscream jumps/flies from one plane to the other, until only a couple are left. At the end of that scene, he lets one fly pass him, transforms, and is joined up by 2 other Raptors.

Next scene, the entire squadron makes hell rain down on Megatron.

Now, this is how I interpret these scenes: When Starscream is joined by the other 2 Raptors, that is meant to show that he infiltrates the squadron, acting as one of them. As the entire squadron attacks Megatron, Starscream joins with them in the attack. He is betraying Megatron, in order to keep his (Starscream's) position as leader of the Decepticons.

That is my interpretation of that scene, because it also explains how Starscream suddenly left the battlefield. We see Starscream fight the Raptors, and suddenly, pan to Megatron getting shot. Nothing about Starscream. This would explain his sudden disappearance.

Interesting thought.

I like it an it works. Now explain Barricade's sudden dissapearance after we see him last on the highway with Bonecrusher before BC TFs to engage OP in battle.

Yeah now that you think of it.. it does make sense how Starscream disappeared (well if you had some knowledge of Starscream's history in the other continuities).

Nice idea :thumb

Well, like you said, we see Barricade last when Binecrusher transforms. That is where Optimus falls down the different roads, all the way down, and where he had to take a detour to get back to where the action is. My guess would be that Barricade got stuck behind the explosion of the bus Bonecrusher went through, and either tried to get through, and had to take some time for self repair, or that he was forced to take a detour like Prime as well, and simply arrived on scene too late.

I only watched the movie once so far but the way I saw that scene was, Screamer flying up behind. He then transforms takes out a couple guys, goes back to jet mode joins the others. Then he goes to bot and takes out more guys and then flys off.

I saw it three times, and because he transforms in mid-air that often, it's very unclear where he ends up if you jsut casually follow it, like one would do the first time. When you pay attention to it, it's clear that, although it may seem that he flies off, the one that flies off is a human vessel, and not Starscream.

I'll check that out this weekend.

Thanks Klarion, that just made the movie even more interesting. :thumb

"I live to serve you, lord Megatron."

heh heh

Wait What did Screamer say to Megatron again in the movie? It wasn't what Ladiesman just quoted was it? It happened so fast and he had one stinky line, Guhhh!
