animorphs those suked really really really bad

:tfpuke :puke but action masters were kind of kool :thumb

The kids whether you want to believe it or not were pivital in the outcome. They were more useful than Spike was. Starscream never would have been the emotionally driven character he was without the kids.

Okay, I understand that the kids have a more important role. That's cool. However, it doesn't justify a show that is about Transformers being focused on the kids 90% of the time, If I wanted to hear kids yell and argue with each other, I would open a window and listen to the kids across the street from me. I don't see how a camping trip, hearing them whine about how hungry they are and telling each other to shut up advances the plot. Armada had a lot of potential, the kid characters could have been written waaay better and would have still played an important role without taking up 17 of 22 minutes of the episode. It had potential, and it's painful to watch something that could be great fall on its face instead.

90% ? That's a bit of an exaggeration. I agree that they focused a little too much on the kids but I would say they were in the story 30 or 40% of the time. Really the only kid I found annoying was Fred. But he's got an excuse he's fat, an asmatic, and a diabetic. If you had all three of these problems you'd be whining too.

And just back up what I said, he mentioned his blood sugar many times which means he's diabetic and he has an inhaler which he packed in the camping trip.

Good point. I'll probably revisit the series when it comes out on DVD (in the boxsets). 30-40% is still a lot IMO, but I think I will mention that the only two kids that never seemed to bother me were Rad and Alexis. Carlos was kind of annoying, but I never understood why the other two kids (Fred & Billy-is that his name?) were there the whole time. They seemed to serve no purpose other than to be annoying. There was a good storyline happening though, but it could've been better.

Also, as far as Armada the toyline goes, it had some great molds-Supercon Prime, Wheeljack, Blurr, Tidal Wave, Demolishor and Cyclonus. The others just seemed to fall short, sometimes just ever so slightly short of being awesome. That's what makes it the most irritating to me.

I voted for Animorphs. It almost feels completely separate and I always forget about it falling under the Transformers umbrella.

A very close second would have to be Armada. I prefer the more realistic takes on alt modes (like RiD or Alternators). Although, Energon is moving in the right direction. Still a little clunky IMO.

Basically if Takara designs it, I'll buy it. :tflaugh

Edit: I was only referring to toylines, as I don't have cable and have only caught a couple of episodes of Armada and none of Energon.

Animorphs is NOT part of Transformers. Therefore they should not even be on that list.

As for the others, there is always something good about each line, but there are some lines that I can't stand:

Beast Machines : the I dislike the most. I had a chance to buy many of the toy but left them on the shelves because theye were just not appealing! Even the Vehicons does not satisfy me 100% and I have almost them all except for Scavenger. :tdown

Action Masters: I am 50/50 with them. The concept was cool but non-transforming Transformers does not convince me. Its like playing Heavy Metal with acoustic guitars all the time! :wtf

G2: a bit "disorganized" and horrible repaints/naming (Megatron+car=BLASPHEMY!) :tard

Pretenders: Only downside was lack of articulation, specally on Beasts. And the Classics should have MORE Decrepticons! :Dc

Armada: Lack of articulation and Optimus' combined form.

RID: The designs for some figures (i.e. Optimus, Ultra, Prowl) looked great but had flaws; Ultra and Optimus fall apart too easily - I have Ultra as exhibition and car carrier. As for Prowl, the doors won't stay in place in robot mode and the socket even cracked! :( Does the Japanese evrsion has these problems?

MachineWars Absolutely NO storyline, NO weapons/accessories/gimmicks and NO posability (the last to apply only to megas and ultra) Positive side: US release of UK Exclusives.

Silly Fanboys, toys are for kids. No questions, no arguments, no nothing.

I don't understand the point in watching the toons' with the critical eye of an adult, instead of the open-minded view of a child.

I enjoyed Armada because it was a fantasy setting. The animation did falter at times, but that only added to the moments when it was outstanding(Starscream's death) and made them even more special. This fandom is not for G1 purists, because its the TRANSFORMERS FANDOM, not the TRANSFORMERS GENERATION ONE FANDOM. I'm sorry that you guys overvalue your own childhood the point that you are willing to insult others who did not share it. I'm not gonna use this post to talk about what line I personally like, because I like ALL lines...I have favorites and things I dislike. Its not G1 that I hate, its G1's FANS that I hate.

Actually, next to Animorphs, I'd say the worst TF line is....

"Wheelie say find friends today!" :tfpuke

Hey, a well thought-out, non-insulting post from Bodycount, that I can step behind wholeheartedly. Huzzah! Although, I'd add "purist" to "G1 fan" somewhere.

Did hell frezze over?
