Movie ironhides two faces

Recommended Posts

No matter what the difference is: I WANTS ME MY IRONHIDE.

But....Ironhide is out in the Netherlands.

That makes it worse. My local TRU has just about every movie toy and item released, save for Screamer and Ironhide. The Bart Smit near my house is still crowded with Unicrons and Jetfires, so I'm not counting on them to stock up on movie stuff anytime soon.

The back of the head actually looks a little bit like the FAB artwork. I've been looking at '74 Bumblebe, as well, and have been a little bit curious if Hasbro actually designed some of the Autobots to have their "Battle Mask" appearance molded into the back of their head. If the FAB artwork is any indication with Ironhide, I think this might actually be the case.

Pretty nifty, though. I'd too like to know any details on picking up the variant. (and here I was thinking about getting Ironhide if Target didn't have Robovision Prime. Oh well. I guess I could pick up Blackout. The reviews on him has done a pretty good job on selling me on him. )

Aoi

I agree, the back of the head has a more G1 feel,.. I already added paint apps to mine (2 days after buying the fig., the factory head bothered me so much). I thought the NEW face reminded me of Trailbreaker....

I got mine at Target....and it has light piping in the eyes.

I got mine at target... it does not.

I think the Voyager case is 1 each of Screamer, Ironhide, Rachet and Blackout; Ironhide and Screamer seem to be selling much better around here, though.

They ALL have light piping- but you need a lighthouse beacon to get his eyes to shine any.

And in response to the Seibertron gallery, those are light-piped as well

yes the gimmick is in place on all of them, but the problem is they painted the eyes black. On mine that's how it is anyway.

I posted a topic about the eyes being painted black,... and have used rubbing alcohol, q-tips and a razor blade to remove some of it. Only mild to mediocre success.

IMO the light-piping plastic is just TOO DARK to do any good. One of the reasons I prefer the "face" on the backside of the head!!!
