Any More Classics?

Recommended Posts

Now that I have finished my Classics series deluxe collection, I have to say... "I NEED MORE OF THIS!!!!"

Seriously. Of all the reissues and remakes in the world, Hasbro hit the nail on the head with the Classics line. Even figures I previously hated (Ramjet, Cliffjumper, and Jetfire) were all redone to match their G1 character, but with a great new figure that has good articulation and well-thought transformations.

Does anyone know if Hasbro will continue the Deluxe and Voyager Classics lines? Any rumors or anything about this? Obviously the movie is going to be their focus for quite some time...

Link me?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for more Classics. I'd say that, with the exception of the aforementioned Botcon set, we've got a year, easy, before we see anymore, or even know the true fate of the line.

Personally, despite my incredibly high level of movie excitement, I have enjoyed the Classics and wouldn't mind if they replaced the 6' Titaniums, which I'm not crazy about. I'd pay fifteen bucks a pop for Deluxe Classics like Trailbreaker, Sideswipe or Tracks. Especially if they were new molds and they only released two every couple of months.

I agree 100% Hobbes. I just want to add a new Prowl mold to that :D

What is this Bot-con set all about? Anyone have any pics?

I don't think it is out yet, but it is the three missing seekers, and one other fig (Another jet, I just forget who). Thundercracker will obviously be a Starscream/Skywarp repaint. Dirge and the other conehead are probably going to be Ramjet repaints. People are hoping the 4th one is a Jetfire repaint to keep it a little different. The set will cost over $300, so a ton of people are Starscreaming about it in another thread.

But let's not make this another botcon thread :)

I seem to recall an interview that hinted that the Titanium series will be where CLASSICS continue.

And I count Rodimus Prime, Soundwave, Scourge and Ultra Magnus, personally.

Prowl is supposed to be getting a Titanium G1-ish treatment.

Titanium is basically Classics, RiD, Beast Wars and War Within.

And if you haven't noticed, the Titanium packaging has adopted the individual line logos.

Technically, Rodimus and Soundwave were released as G1 but with the classics logo. And I don't think Hasbro proper ever distinguished between Classics and G1 except as an inventory ID thing.

I have a suspicion that the discussed Classics Sideswipe, Arcee and Cosmos will wind up in Titanium form if the line does well and the movie amps up interest.

Titanium is probably doing better than Classics, IMO. I haven't seen a 6" Titanium anywhere in weeks, and Classics can be found in high stock just about everywhere. That being said, I own only 2 Titaniums, and all of the Deluxe (and a couple Voyager) Classics.

Don't the Titaniums have quality issues? I have heard this, but don't personally know because I haven't opened mine yet.
