Seriously. How anyone can have any expectations at this point is beyond me.

Personally, I'd like to see something new. But I'm so sick of this fucking fandom bitching about everything that doesn't perfectly match up with their entitlement-driven visions of what Transformers should be, that I've stopped caring.

I didn't watch the previous ones for two reasons 1) I didn't have cartoon network 2) I watched an episode of Cybertron and cringed every 2 minutes. It was awful.

While I don't run around going, "this logo sucks," or, "this show will suck because it's not targeted at an older audience when it's a 30 minute commercial for a children's toyline."

Like you I'd like to see something new as well. While it doesn't have to be at the quality of BW series (I enjoyed BM series as well) something along the lines of Teen Titans would be perfectly fine.

As always, since there is nothing out there except for some VAs, speculation, and a damn logo on the front cover of a magazine, it's too early to judge anything. It's like looking at somebody and saying, "this guy looks like a tool" and proceed to just call him a tool all the time without saying hi to him even once.

That logo looks awesome!!! One layer gets bigger while the other gets smaller which means both sides are evenly matched and advantage will shift like crazy all the time. PLUS the letters all have sharp corners which means the robots will too which is good because who ever heard of round metal. :roll . The contrast between the dark blue and the orange means both sides will be clearly defined but since all the letters are in white both sides will have similar motivations. Also it means that It'll take place in the daylight.

The animated part IMO has nothing to do with it being a cartoon. It just means that the characters will actually have vibrant personalities instead or relying on standard characterizations. :thumb

:lol

Anyone who says this is too stylized/simplified and fails to mention the G1 cartoon gets a kick in the nuts BTW.

Just so long as the disparencies aren't as bad as they were for Ironhide and Ratchet, we're good. I don't mind eleminating kibble or "humanizing" the proportions like they did for the G1 animation models and the new movie. The real problem is when you get disparencies like in Beast Machines where the robot modes don't look a damn thing alike. Fortunately, BM tanked so it's very unlikely that Hasbro will let the disparencies get that bad again. Also, I don't want overtly meched-out Earth-based vehicle modes. That look is fine when the vehicle mode is Cybertronian but it makes earth vehicles look way too pimped out.

My understanding is that the cartoon is going to be set "in the future".

Well that is preferable since it means that the tf's can have futuristic alt-modes like G1 Hot Rod, instead of semi-realistic alt-modes that have to be modified to avoid copyright infignment. It sidesteps the copyright issue altogether instead of prancing around it like a loon :tflaugh

*waits to see show/toys*

The logo is unique for a Transformers series, I'll give it that.
