"Super-flat" "Designer" transformers coming your way!

 

I know the cartoon must be interesting to see. But the toys???? Very little detail, very simple, think Transforming designer vinyl toy ala kid robot style, Gorillas.

 

But I rememeber saying that hasbro will pic up on the designer style almost a year ago. This also fits the mold of how the trasformer brand is being aimed at adults and less on kids. It is the adults that are spending on designer looking toys. This will be an interesting look for transformers.

You have to wonder, tho. Assuming that the new series will use Teen Titans style animation, how in the hell will that translate to the toys? Short of being shellformers, there's just no way you can get a John K style robot out of a transforming toy. The bulkier John K robots tend to be rounded and curvy while the smaller ones tend to be thin and sleek. Johe K robots don't tend to be very blocky and angular, which a robot must be in order to accomodate a vehicle mode.

I take offense at your labeling of Teen Titans' anime-wannabe style as "John K" in any way, shape or form.

And an additional "word" to the Teen Titans. Awesome show.

People wondered how the movie designs would translate to the toys, don't forget that.

 

That logo will take some getting used to. It's very different from anything we've seen before. It's not 'Transformers', if you will if one wants to really start to nitpick. It looks like logos of other cartoon shows.

 

Still, this is the newest info on the cartoon. If it's still coming this fall I have to wonder why there hasn't been more info. I know the movie is coming but still, there should be more news than this.
