'Transformers: Animated' A 2008 Series; Previously Called 'Heroes'?

Recommended Posts

It's going to be cute, and animated, and have crappy voice acting, and a load of Blotty toys with a few gems, possibly. I'll still enjoy it though.

This will be the new toyline after the movie or what?

I sure hope it's not Crapanime.

What I'm more concerned about is how censorship will effect the cartoon. In America, there's very strict limits on what you can show to kids.

No! How dare you have a non-conformist opinion! Everyone else's fragile worldview will shatter into thousands of little fragments because you said something they didn't agree with or even find rational!
:mwahaha

That makes me want to throw up :tflaugh

Throw up, but it's true. For instance, Spider Man's cartoon from the 90s (the one with the Aerosmith theme and Gregg Berger as Mysterio and Kraven) had a distinct rule that nobody could break any windows.

O_o...I did not know that. Thank you for the tidbit! I guess you really do learn something new everyday.

I understand why they did it, but that's absolutely pathetic.

For once, I actually agree with Y2K...

I know we'll never have the depth of Batman: The Animated Series, and Beast Wars TransFormers, but it would be nice if we had even just an inkling of something with a modicum of intelligence.

I doubt the show will be anything fantastic or wow inducing, or even close to groundbreaking.

I only hope that the toys are worth a purchase.

OR it could be Powerglideing awsome & styled like either Samurai Jack, Clone Wars or the latest Hellboy animation. :P

Teen Titans wasn't always cute & cuddly either but I can see you are not a DCU fan.

Why should the voice acting suck? It won't be dubbed, & for the most part a lot of WB DCU cartoons have outstanding voice talent.

Yeah it could suck. I'll just wait until I've seen it before deciding anything.

Should see something about it at Botcon this year.

I really hope they don't change the look of the Transformers. That would be disastrous.

oh, right

I'm just waiting for Garth to show up and say "we fear change"

:roll

Well it is a kid's show, for children

but aside from that, plenty of shows work just fine within these limits, such as Batman TAS or JLU, or the recent Ninja Turtles series. Or even Beast Wars and Beast Machines. It doesn't have to be ultraviolent and dark to be good.

That being said the odds of it being any good are pretty low, but who knows. Just as long as it doesn't look like an anime knockoff like every other american cartoon nowadays...
