What's the size difference between Metroplex/ Trypticon vs Fortress Maximus,Scorponok

Recommended Posts

I would REALLY like someone to show me ANY reference where these guys were made the size of an entire city? The biggest pic I can think of is where RID Max takes up a small city block. Every other pic shows them the size of ONE skyscapper.

Not to mention that eveyone seems to forget...

BROADSIDE should be around the SECOND largest transformer being over 1000' long. But wee all know how bad our show was treated.

Mass-shifting is your friend. Broadside could have been 1 inch in height robotwise.

If you think about it all the City bots and guys Like Broadside would be much smaller in Bot mode. In Alt mode they have massive amounts of empty space inside them. When they transform they become denser as plates and panels fold and collapse to fill in that empty space. Thus though they would still be huge, they aren't going to be quite as massive as you might imagine based on thier alt mode.

For the smaller TFs there is much less drastic a change in size from Alt to bot because of much less dead space to fill on transformation.

He was the size of Devastator in The Burden Hardest to Bare

Devastator is the same size as Bumblebee in the Action Masters toy line. d:

As far as teh toys, I have all but Trypticon.

I know Metroplex and Tryp are the same size from pics. Metroplex toy is same size as Omega Supreme.

Scorponok is about 20% larger than that. Fort max... is nearly twice as tall as scorpy and more than twoice that of Metro.

In know in the headmasters cartoon we see metroplex flying in bot mode by Max in Ship/Base mode and he's much smaller.

According to the Sibertron database, Fort Max is about 1016 feet tall. Metro is something like 600.

That's all I know.

Surely someone will take a pic of all the toys next to each other!??

(i know this is mainly about shows but it would be a cool pic!)

On a side note, In Masterforce Fortress Maximus' little brother Grand Maximus is actually protrayed much smaller, he's only a little bit bigger than God Ginrai in some scenes!

Likewise Scorponok's new Transector Black Zarak has also been downgraded, in both Masterforce and Zone he seems to be the size of a Combiner.

I prefer to think of Tryp/Metro as the City-formers a la cartoon canon and FortMax/Scorpy being on the same scale as PM prime in the comics. After all, If cerebros is (roughly) the same size as the other headmasters then Max would have to be at least twice that size to accomodate a rather downsized cerebros. I always liked to think that Zarak had a drone he could transform into the head of for Scorpy also. (similar to Spike and cerebros) In fact, I think one comic issue shows a drone of some sort.
