Kevlar is a plastic too I believe.

They were made mostly out of die cast until after the movie.

Then beast wars happened and they fell apart like the plastic pieces of crap they were. No wonder beast wars charactors never lasted long. :tflaugh1

Hahahahahahahahah!!!!! :tflaugh :tflaugh

I forget what they're made of, but I believe it's listed in Dreamwave's MTMTE books

I think they were made out of some type super-strong refined duct tape. Yes, that's right duct tape. Think about it. Duct tape lasts forever and its very strong. One time the bottom of my muffler on my car fell out and I sealed the hole with duct tape, and it worked. True story. Duct tape is the key to the universe.

duct tape is crazy enough to work :tfevil

Energonium - Energon carefully refined from energy form into an ultra-hard metal. There may be a little bit of imagination employed in this explanation

That's actually not that bad a concept. A special mix of energon and metal. We know Energon has some direct unique relationship with sparks, perhaps they made facial gestures by controlling the energon laced metal in their face? Like how they control the energon in their body to power their movements.

We can estimate that they were made of earth-metals since they seemed to be able to repair and replace their parts while on earth. But I'm guessing they would shove it through some form of processing it to get that nice Cyberton Shine©

I could've sworn they were made of something called "cybertronium",

the most durable element on cybertron...

They had Cybertronium in them, but they weren't made out of it. The Autobots malfunctioned and their bodies went all screwy when it decayed, but their bodies weren't falling to pieces and crumbling.

Cartoon continuity: paint and celluloid

Comic Book Continuity: ink and paper

Toy Continuity: plastic, die-cast and rubber

:D :D :tflaugh :tftongue

IMO, the thing is probably flexible yet very duriable. Can be stretched in thin quantities but isn't as elastic when thick.

Tin Foil, lots and lots of tin foil.
