I am currently working on trying to make E. Bruticus look even more like G1 Bruticus. So I ave taken Treadshot and given him a Decepticon symbol since his paint sceme is already Decepticonesque with his blue matching Blackout's fists, and his golden yellow matching Blackout's golden yellow details. Then I turned Bruticus' torso and head around so that his original chest is now his back and I've begun building a spy plane chest plate for him. The only other alterations I'll be doing to his actual body are the removal of the "horns" and implantation of antenas, as well as removing Barricade's "ears" and giving him a face plate like G1 Onslaught had. Of course to duplicate G1 some name changes are in store. Barricade becomes Onslaught, Blackout becomes Vortex, Blight becomes Swindle, Kickback becomes Brawl, and Treadshot becomes Blastoff.

 

I like what I am seeing.

 

 

For an Onslaught head, you could try a head transplant, but you'd need either a spare G1 Onslaught or any of his repaints.

 

Or a Ko of the mold.

Well to be honest I had thought of doing that...however I have decided that a pair of tanks makes more sense than a tank and a jeep. Also due to the connections needed Cyb Swindle doesn't really work. I had thought of maybe removing the tank treads, and replacing them with the sides of a jeep type or 4x4 battle vehicle like Cyb Def Hotshot had, and I might in the future but right now I'm just going to leave him as a tank. As for Onslaught I'm just going to cut off his ears, and give him a face plate using styrene.

I'm taking the easy way out on the chest plate and I just ordered a G1 Bruticus chest from ebay. As soon as it gets here I'll bash it into compatibility with my Classics Combaticons, I figure probably Friday, or next tuesday. Other little touches I have planned are face plates for Onslaught, Vortex, Brawl, and Blastoff. As well as painting all of the sky blue areas on Blastoff "E. Treadshot" purple to better match the G1 color scheme. I've been studying the pics of the G1 Combaticons on tfu.info and I've noticed that 4 out of the 5 E. combaticons have the perfect matching color scheme to the G1 Combaticons. Barricade's colors are pretty much perfect for G1 Onslaught, as are Blight's for Swindle, Kickback's for Brawl, and Blackout's for Vortex. I think the only reason Hasbro didn't use those names was because they didn't have access to them aside from Swindle, and I think Brawl however now with the acquisition of Toybiz Hasbro has access to the name Onslaught, as well as many other G1 names that Marvel currently hold. As for people being worried about Marvel doing TF comics I actually think it might be a good thing. Better distribution for one since Marvels titles are in just about every bookstore and not just in comic shops. Thus easier to find. Ok a little off topic there but you guys get the idea.
