Anywho, I wonder if he's gonna be painted up like a total piece of Blot.

i doubt it as kids prefer their tf's to have bright and clean paint jobs.

Yeah, like 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime.

... Oh, wait...

Brawl is looking like my favorite so far. I have a strong feeling these guys will have better robot modes than those of their live action counterparts.

The new Mustang looks great as a cop car. And yes, Barricade does look an awful lot like the Mad Max Interceptor. There's actually a company called MRT that makes an Interceptor package for the currrent Mustang. Here's a picture:

Not to mention Classics Grimlock, which is much more mainstream than 20th OP. :tfevil

Bob Saget, i cannot keep track of the millions of different toys in existence.

at any rate, i think that if all of the toys pictured are deluxes, their simplicity makes me think that they might be on the Classics size scale. that's a height difference of about an inch from the Cybertron scale.

I'm not gonna get geeked on prototype alt mode transformers BUT mid 1970's Camaro is kewl expect for those monster tires.

So, let me get this straight...

Dreamworks and Paramount want to move this into "modern day" and technology, after promising fans at the beginning of the proposed production, that they would make a G1 based movie... So, they want to abandon the original character designs from cars made durring the '70's and '80's... Yet they make Bumblebee a 1974-1980 generation Camaro... They're okay with that... But not okay with making him a Volkswagen Beetle from the same era.

Rad.

This has officially gone haywire. I've lost concept of what the hell these guys are going for here with the new movie. The Bumblebee looks like it could be a nice toy, as do a few of the others, but I can't understand what the idea is, or, rather, the reasoning behind it.

Let's make Optimus Prime turn into a bulldozer while we're at it.

Nice toys, but WTF?

Yet they make Bumblebee a 1974-1980 generation Camaro... They're okay with that... But not okay with making him a Volkswagen Beetle from the same era.

I've made this point before, but usually movies only use cars from one manufacturer - this one is no different.

Don't be fooled by the Saleen Mustang, notice it only has "Saleen" markings, there is no mention of "Ford" anywhere. Saleen had a falling out with Ford and no longer hotrod's Mustangs, but will be doing the new Camaro (upgraded Bumblebee will be a Saleen Camaro). Expect Bumblebee to pwn that Mustang as an FU from Saleen to Ford.

Expect Bumblebee to pwn that Mustang as an FU from Saleen to Ford.

if that happens then i'm just going to dismiss the new movie as a car commercial, ie, "The Fast And The Furious" with giant robots.

Volkswagen/Porsche (they are the same company) does not want to have their brand be connected with anything violent, even if it's just a gun in the hand. That's why we didn't get any Volkswagen or Porsche designs in the Binaltech/Alternator lines. And that's also the reason why Bumblebee and Jazz are not a Beetle and Porsche in the movie.

Sad but true.
