Hobby Japan MP-5 Megatron Article

Hey. I like the Eyebrow. Dont forget, this guy is unpainted. we have no Idea what the final will look like.

You're right. The first testshots we saw of Classic Megs didn't have the unibrow of doom either.

Is that true?

The unibrow is actually a nice reference to the original toy... it's just a pity that it was strangely painted black

someone catch me up on this one....

it's the arrow-shaped crest that was half-hidden under his helmet in the cartoon, but which was VERY prominent on the toy.

I'm liking this more every time I see it. I've preordered one from A3U. Can't wait to get him so I'll have someone to pose dead at Starscream's feet...

...just kidding ;)

...or am I?

Is it true? Yep. Actually, they weren't even "testshots" in the truest sense, they were the first promotional images Hasbro released, many of which are still used by online stores.

Note the black triangles on Meg's forehead, more like his animated form, vs. the Ming eyebrows we ended up with, which extend beyond his face and onto his helmet.

i like this triangle design better.

but i also like Ming-atron

"Clytus, I'm bored. What plaything can you offer me today?"

:note FLASH !! AA-AAA !! :note

Looking at the alt mode text on his rh chest, the decep faction symbol would have a hard time being centered on him. Also, I don't think the 'bucket' is any longer part of the p38 exterior in alt mode.

The first thing I thought when I saw the closeup on the face is that he kinda looks like a very angry Japanese businessman with a cut up kfc bucket. With the skinny face he kinda looks more human and less robotic, but meh details. I haven't seen anything that screams DON'T BUY THIS. So I'ma buy.
