What of Monstructor?! Dear Lord! When will we see MP-15 Monstructor?!

My point was that more "fans" would recognize the lime green and purple than any other combiner. He was in more episodes and the only one in the movie. Too bad he never got inside Unicron's head and combined :schin

 

My favorite G1 combiner was Bruticus by far but I loved them all. Deluxe Stunticons (with a voyager sized Motormaster) that combined would indeed rock. That could be half of the whole wave and that would be enough for us older fans.

 

The Autobot side could be fielded by deluxe Protectobots. I think they would sell a lot faster than the Technobots mainly because they are Earth vehicles.

I think/hope the Aerialbots are a lot more popular than the Protectobots. The whole idea of using a "peace" team to counter a war team = gghhhheeeeeyyyyyyyy

It might just be my whole TF Comics Loving, but I always enjoyed the Combaticons having the opposite guys, the Protectobots, as their main enemy. Bruticus vs. Defensor was some good match-up fights in the comics, particularly the fight at the train station, that rocked to me at least. Also I never cared for the Aerialbots, I kinda liked Fireflight and Air Raid, that was about it.

Good point. The Protectobots had like five minutes of screen time in all of G1. The Aerialbots also had a few sweet episodes like "Aerial Assault" and even "The Ultimate Weapon" in season 3.

I think it's weird that everyone has a problem with the Energon combiners "clones", but no one complains about 4 of the Aerialbots all essentially being the same toy. I mean, sure the Energon combiners have repaints, but at least it's 3 different Transformation schemes per gestalt instead of 2.

The arialbots was never my favorite gestalt. On the other hand, the constructicons were all differents. If you remember, I never complained about the Enegon aerialbots (wich I founded pretty good, in fact).

No, I'm not an hypppocrit, but as the first gestalt and unic sixformers team during a long time (the seacons were more of a tagetmaster), Devastator hold a special place to me.

 

Sorry, I didn't mean to infer that I was calling you out on this alone. It's a just a defense of the Energon molds in general and further proves my theory: "There's no idea so lame that G1 didn't think of it first."

 

And I Love G1.

I think you Devestator fans have gotten quite enough love from Hasbro. How many construction vehicles have been painted lime green because of you freaks?

Sorry, but I don't consider painting construction vehicule as a real show of love from Hasbro. It's nice and everything,sure, but it's beforehand an easy way to capitalise on a old succesfull carater. I'm not realy complaining about them, but each one of those guy are like saying "lalala, you won't get a real devy this year". And the energon fiveformers could have been a truly great thing if it wasn't for those damn clone-members.

The same people who have no problems buying Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp, Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen, Thrust/Dirge/Ramjet, Rumble/Frenzy, Laserbeak/Buzzsaw, Optimus Prime/Ultra Magnus...

 

But it's TREASON if the repaints come AFTER G1....

You guys have room to complain when your favorite gestalt has NEVER been homaged. Until then, you get no sympathy from me.

 

And BTW it doesn't count when you name some random Transformer "Menasor" because you couldn't think of anything else to call it.

 

Hey, I was speaking about the use of the repaints within the individual gestalt groups for the limbs, not about what gestalt groups were getting made/homaged. If we'd have gotten an Energon Menasor, my point would still hold.

Yeah I was really addressing that to the people complaining about the 25th version of Devastator...
