More TF Movie Prime, Starscream Protoform Images

I don't recall seeing Prime in his alt form before. Prime's pretty boring looking. More paint would really help on that. Starscream still has a nice look. These do make sense for planet entry, but do they always abandon their previous alt form just to make planetfall?

Most likely since on any new planet they enter their old disguise will be useless.

But what if they form a personal attachment to that form? I'm sure they just don't want to throw it away.

I suppose that that's either tough luck or they actually can build spaceships but those only get used where they don't need to hide from the locals.

It's a nice idea. Not necessaily enacted in the best way possible but Starscream looks quite good. Prime...ah, I've already got three Primes so I can quite happily pass on him.

They're at war, they can't afford to do that. It'd be akin to say a spy becoming attached to the disguise they use on one assignment and then wanting to use it when they are ordered to spy on a completely different country where it would look completely out of place.

:pfx Hence "robots in disguise."

I'm still not sold on Starscream's color... If I get one I'll have to commission someone to repaint him.

So what do they do when they want to leave a planet?

Revert to their natural protoform state I guess.

yep more pix of the famous 5H1T4M3R5

In all honesty, I fail to see what would be gained from rolling up into a ball upon re-entry. There's no reason they couldn't just as easily enter the atmosphere in their normal robot forms. It's not like they're actually decreasing their overall surface area much by wadding themselves up.

Now i'm starting to get Khan's Sesame Street poop joke from INH.
