Does anybody know if Has/Tak revenues increase every time they produce a TF we actually want? If so what sort of rake back are they getting each time.

 

Reason I ask this is that most of us here were the reason G1 was so successful 'cos we bought into it, so my thinking is maybe if we moan enough they will give us what we want and then maybe it will help them?

 

I notice we bitched about Titanium Megatron, and lo and behold Galvatron we're now getting a proper WW Titanium Megs. We bitched about MP Megs....oh look now they're building one.

 

I'm seeing a trend, and I wonder if we push hard enough we can get what we want? Maybe it's just like being 7 years old again and being an evil sod screaming I want I want.

I don't think there's an easy answer to this question.

 

The Masterpiece and Titanium lines are collector geared, so it is likely there is some effect on these lines based on what the older fans ask for.

 

But the main lines that are aimed at kids and fill department store shelves, from A/E/C to Classics and the movie line are primarily going to operate free of fan intrest because fans do not make up the solid majority of the money spenders on those lines. Kids do. So Hasbro is more concerned about what they want over what we want in those situations.

yeah if thats the case I'd like to see some more Starscreaming about getting a Jazz, wheel jack, sideswipe, prowl, sunstreaker trail breaker. Com'on guys start Starscreaming and moaning and butting online patitions....

I always fill out my Takara survey cards and web site so Takara knows precisely what I think of their products and what I want. I wish Hasbro would do something like that... it would be a far more precise method of market research than just relying on online fan rantage.
