Larger Classics? What do you think?

Recommended Posts

jmo, with the acception of larger characters, i.e. omega supreme, i think the figures in the line should get no bigger than voyagers. i kinda like the smaller size of them, and i like the fact that they're in scale with one another, i don't like the leaders to be excessively larger than their troops

:pfx Only bots I'd like to see now as a larger toy is a Stunticon set and maybe a Computron set. Otherwise, I think that the smaller sized bots are awesome. :thumb

I'd like to see some dead horses that haven't been beaten so much, i.e. earlier Autobot cars (Jazz, Ironhide, Tracks, maybe Hound, etc...) and then (looooongshot), but I'd actually like to see some ____masters, either head or target for a change. I know they'll never do it, but I would kill for some classics Chromedome, Highbrow, Brainstorm, and Hardhead...

I wish they were all voyager class. It's a good size for transformers. And I'm a bit dissappointed that SS and Roddy are so much smaller than Prime and Megs.

I wouldn't mind repaints of past A/E/C homages to G1 figures, but really done in G1 colors:

I'd buy that. I skipped most of the larger E/C figs anyway, so G1 repaints would be a good time to pick them up. :thumb

One more vote for supersized Classics Sky Lynx here! I'd preorder that even without seeing a picture.

fortmax made to the same size as C-metroplex would be cool

I'd be down for some larger figures, but to hit upon what Freedom said the larger figures have been mostly that. Maybe a Fort Max redo at about cyb Metro's size with compartments and moving parts for the minicons would be cool. Just something new and more imaginative than a big clunky bot with some half thought out alt mode. I want to see something that makes kids and us collectors stop and say "wow, that's really cool. I haven't seen that yet."

we'll probobly see the energon superion repainted as superion

As long as they give us two new molds for a couple of the limbs that'd be fine by me. Shoot I'd even go for a repaint/2 part remold of Bruticus.

I gave up on hopes like that long ago

With a direct repaint of Constructicon Maximus as the new Constructicon Devastator in G1 colors but no new molds, if they decide to release (and the following names are my assumption based on Devy), Combaticon Bruticus and Aerialbot Superion, they'll be straight up repaints of the Energon combiners.

So I agree with OPiJ. I gave up hope on that. You're best bet is to just mod two of the figures and make some adjustments so that they're not exactly alike. What I liked about the G1 combiners after Devy was that you could put what the instructions made out as arms as feet and vice versa. It was nice, and that's one thing I like about the e. combiners.

I like the current size of classics .
