Even so, I'm pretty sure I'd remove a statue from the shipping crate if I ever bought one.

That may be true...I, for one, have never not opened a Transformer. And I'd open a MP Megs if I ever wind up with one.

 

But the simple fact of the matter is...and I don't mean any disrespect to the staff of BBTS...but I don't have a $100 to bet on that the orange paint doesn't run or the cap's glue doesn't stick to the plastic tray and ruin the figure somehow...or worse yet, I get the BBTS employee who's at the end of a 12 hour gluing shift, uses too much, and now that orange cap has fused Megs' barrel to his back and he'll never transform. Ever.

 

Sorry, I know that's all silly worse-case-scenerio stuff, but the risk associated with the alteration is a deal breaker. If my MP Megs gets messed up, I want to be the one to do it. Or I don't want to own one at all.

Not at all. Besides if they want to focus on robot mode, they could make him a gun that's you know actually large. Really I would have preferred tank Megs to gun Megs though.

Apparently they thought they didn't need to anymore based on the different laws that they have. I would think that they would though just so they can still readily tap into the N. American market, but what do I know. Either way, so long as I get an acceptable MP Megs, I am happy.

Yeah, really. I don't think it will kill me to paint an orange tip. This mp megs is one step closer to a mp galvy. As long as I can stand it up with my 20th prime and it looks cool I dunna care.
