I agree with Madhammer that unpainted plastic will probablt look better. Most handguns that are painted have a flat paint rather than a glossy one. Cartoon Megs had a flat white color.

 

If you're gonna go flat, you may as well just use plastic. It saves a lot of trouble and removes chipping as an issue. Also, a lot of die-cast anywhere but in the legs of a robot will just make him top heavy and harder to pose.

 

I agree with you other guys that the added weight of it makes the toy feel cooler and more sturdy in your hands... but as long as he's not a lightweight like Starscream I think it'll be okay.

A light grey would make me perfectly happy. (For comparison, something like or a little lighter than the grey we did NOT get on MP starscream. :P ) Anyway, so far, this news doesn't yet destroy my hopes for the toy! Here's hoping the proto doesn't horrify or depress.

the fandom has hit a new low. i didn't think that things could get worst after all the movie Starscreaming but now i'm hearing Starscreaming that MP Megatron needs to have a robot mode as big as MP Prime's but also transform into a 1:1 scale Walther P-38. it's official, the G1 purists are completely stark-raving insane :guh

Can one of you point out where any single person demanded both of those at the same time, because I just don't see it (or mass shifting for that matter)? I see several reasonably civil remarks toward one or the other and then alot of "waaaaah! me want tank! me hate geewun! waaaaah!" All of this is before any pictures show up no less! It's funny when the shoe's on the other foot, isn't it? Hey, maybe when I get home from work I'll make one of those awesome signature graphics where I use crude Internet language to belittle them!

 

Seriously, it's like some people don't care how much product is out because they can't be happy until all the G1 fans are completely miserable.
