Been kinda annoyed this last year with counting how many new Opt's there are out right now.

 

After MP1 I was thinking "With this, I could die happy if another Optimus was never made" and yet we have like 10.

 

Lets see, there was:

Robot Masters

then THS

now there's CLASSICS

and the PRIME VS MEGATRON tank one

re-release of the Armada small Prime

Alternators Prime (totally not needed as MP1 is supreme!)

lets not forget

War Within

Any speculation on what the next toy line's main Prime will be (or is it just classics as the main series?)

The movie Prime of course.

Plus

The re-release of Laser Optimus prime

that Prime/Megatron tank guy

Pepsi Prime

All the Ultra Magnus versions

All the Nemesis versions

 

That's a lot of Primes in the span of a year or so.

 

A lot of these have not been released in the states, so that might leave me time to catch up in a couple years or so. But if we have another year ahead like this, I'll have to hit the lottery to catch up again.

I have to disagree on THS Prime. Robot mode's really nice but the vehicle mode doesn't even fit together properly, which is what makes me disdain it so

I agree that there is a glutt of Primes, but since he's the iconic character of course he'll be in every single line at some point.

Sure Prime's iconic but I feel he gets over used. I mean, I can go to the store and buy Alt Prime, Galaxy Force Prime, Cyb Monkey Prime, WW Prime, 3" Prime, Attacktix Prime, Cyb Bendy Prime right now. Granted they all need to be in stock. I like Prime, but this is ridiculous.

Would it kill them to do more Rodimus Prime homages? Sure he blew as a leader, but his mold was cool.

I wish they would do a line with Rodimus as the leader instead of Prime just to be different.

We need either more Bludgeon toys or more -- ah screw it at this point

at least it's not like a Batman, Superman, Spiderman, He Man, Star Wars, GI Joe, and action heroes type line where you get different accessories/gimmicks & a slightly different color scheme for the same molded action figure...
