Walmart has it for around $68. Looks ok, but the base is not worth it. Keep OP throw away the base I say.

20 dollars cheaper, I know wal-mart buys a lot, but damn, thats a hell of a lot cheaper.

I'll prolly get him. My 20thanniverary prime's right foot flat broke about 2 months ago. I can get a new foot, ant kit bash the rest.

So i'm just curious if anyone believes me now when I say that the original 20th Ann. Optimus Prime was being sold at TRU for $99.99 when he first came out.

I believe you, but I only ever saw him at Wal-Mart. Like most Transformers, my TRU and Target never stocked him.

I know the original 20th Prime went for 90 bucks at the TRU's in the Denver, Colorado area. I think I got him for only 60-70 bucks at Walmart, too.

After inspecting mine i noticed the pictures on his communicators have changed, instead of it being starscream and bumblebee, it is now grimlock and megatron. Im not sure if everyone knows this or not, it was just new to me. Does anyone know if the MP-04 changed to these characters on the communicaqtors?

Yes, MP-04 Convoy has Grimlock and Megatron on his communicators. :thumb

There have been posts in this thread about how TRU is overpricing him. HTS is selling him for $70, and that should be how much Target and Walmart would be selling him for.

Even Fry's which was selling the Classics at about 20-25% markup had the big Prime for around $70 I think.

Is Grimlock a dino on the sticker, or a robit?

 

Also, I finally had the chance to see the new Primes in person over the weekend ($90 at TRU) and they actually looked pretty good outside of the lack of chrome and lame gun. To anyone who buys one, I would seriously recommend investing in some chrome replacement stacks. They'd be well worth the extra $12 and they're really the only thing he's missing.

 

The base was, of course, laughable. I'm relitively certain I can do a better Prime impression than the generic hero guy they got as a voice actor. I was also really disappointed they included the line "Megatron must be stopped" but left out "...no matter the cost."
