Unicron

Recommended Posts

we must remember that Unicron (and Primus) is a God. And if we've learned anything from Greek mythology, no god is purely good or purely evil. Unicron's sole porpose is to destroy Primus and His children, so if you hate Cybertronians, I'm sure you'd think Unicron is a decent diety. I guess what I'm saying is that evil is only a point of view (except for Shockwave, hes just an evil bastard).

Well, in my perspective, Unicron is pure evil, worse then the devil. Not only is this obvious from the comics, but also from what he names himself. "The Dark God." "The Chaos Bringer." Well, that doesn't sound as something a 'survivor' would say.

And in Armada, you could see his other evil side. In that, he was simply brilliant. As Sideways, he could spice up the conflict, only to feed himself with hatred, as was explained later. This also shows that he could have an alternate energy source besides eating planets, and enhances the Chaos Bringer title. It's only a mystery why he was dependant of the Minicon Weapons to power up again...

(And the reason I'm talking as if the G1 Uni and A-Uni are the same, well, I believe in Dreamwave's principal, that shows that there's only one Unicron, not one Unicron per universe)

That hatred easting bit was kinda…hell it was way lame. How the hell hate can radiate in the form of energy is beyond me…but if he could gather energy via a radiating source why the hell not just park next to the neatest sun? :redface

...Shut Yo Mouth :thumb

Unicron's evil. Galactus is not really evil...if you read the new Thanos comic series, you know what I mean. Unicron is evil though. Period. He goes around eating people up for no reason. He's a crazy monster. Ok? Good.

sorry, but you're mistaken on that one. Their are two different Unicrons in DW continuity: one in Armada/Energon, and one in G1. The Armada/Energon Unicron first showed up in World's Collide story, and is now the main bad guy in the Energon comic. The Terrorcons are gathering energon for him to bring him back to full strength since he was severely damaged at the end of Armada.

G1 Unicron showed up in G1 vol 2 #5, he was offline or something and was awakened by the matrix energy released by Shockwave. And if you've read G1 #0, you know Unicron's headed towards earth, which is interesting to say the least. Can't wait to see what happens when he gets there.

:redface Alright, a small mistake then...

marvels unicron destroyed one universe before meeting primus, he hated everything that wasnt him

I just recently read an interesting fanfic explaining Unicron's motives. I've been checking through my history files for the link but can't find it anywhere. The story begins in a BW based continuity and Unicron loses a couple of heralds so he offers Magnaboss the chance to become his new herald... or die. Magnaboss tries to decline but succumbs just as he is about die and is reformatted into TFU Razorclaw. He has vague memories of his former life and Unicron explains about the multiple universes, how he travels amongst them, why he has to destroy Primus... and how he is guaranteed to ultimately succeed whilst Primus will always fail in the end.

If anyone recognizes it and can post the link it'll be a real help (save me making a more thorough search of my history!)

edit: never mind - just found it!
