Alternator Alt modes taking a turn for the better

I think that list might need a little fine tuning...

The Dodge SRT-10 being semi-exotic is kinda funny. There is like 10 in my neighborhood alone. (and yes I know the difference between the SRT-10 and the regular Dodge trucks that most people have)

Same thing with the Corvette. Z06 is a little rarer...but once a man hits 35 years of age, its almost a right of passage into middle age to get a Corvette...

Don't get me wrong, they are badass vehicles...but exotic it is not.

I'm all for a few exotics thrown into the line, like the Viper, Ford GT and the Jaguar...but I don't think thats what the line is about.

The line is supposed to be an advertisement for the car maker. No offense to anyone on the board that owns a Ferrari or Lamborghini, or even a Jaguar...but they simply aren't the majority.

This is truly Robots in Disguise...common vehicles you see on the road...along with a few exotics to spice things up.

I don't mind the common cars, but more exotics is a good thing. I don't know where you live, squall42080, but I a heck of a lot more farraris and lamborghini's then I do SRT Rams, but that may be geographical. The Chrysler group does not release SRT production volume. But sources say production volume ranges from about 1,000 units for the Crossfire SRT-6 to 16,000 units for the old Neon SRT-4. The SRT-4 production was more than double the original projections. So I'm guessing about 8K units of the ram would be tops which isn't out of exotic range. There are definately a ton or vettes and even Z06's made. Now the blue devil would be an exotic vette...

I actually live in Amish country...hahaha, good ol' Lancaster County, PA.

I can't really say people have a need for these kinds of trucks out here...but I've seen a few of them, and like I said, many of them coincidentally live in my neighborhood.

But thats why I dig Prime...cause I can see him on the road in all his glory. Thats why I like Prowl...cause I own one. Thats why I like Meister. He works with me. I park next to him. I take pictures. When I come out after a hard days work...I chuckle a little inside, cause I'm like..."Dude, Jazz parked right next to me...hahaha"

Jeeps, Corvettes, Subarus, S2000s...while certainly not exotic...its almost the thrill of seeing them on the road that makes Alternators exciting.

I can't tell you how many roadtrips I've been on where...I tell my girlfriend...look there's Swindle. There's Grimlock!

Now your right...exotics are good...cause you gotta keep an eye out for them. Its like the thrill of the hunt. I saw Mirage once. It was awesome. In fact someone about 20 minutes away from me, in this really ritzy development called "Stonehenge" has Kissplay Rodimus!

In fact, I couldn't contain my excitement, even though it was raining, and all I had was my crappy camera phone...but I found Sideswipe...with his top up..hahaha

The exotics make it exciting...but in the long run, I hope hats not all we get. I hope to see some SUVs...(even though I hate the things, they fit certain characters), Some different Trucks, Cars, whatever...hopefully even a Scion TC, so I can convince my g/f once and for all to get one. (and by then I'll know what color)

Agreed one of the few valid reasons I can think of to own an SUV is because it happens to transform into a giant robot.

Just for giggles...I found my pics of my car, affectionately called Autobot VTEC with Mesiter, and Swerve and Company...

As for the alts themselves, they hit a rough patch around Prime and the 3rd repaints, but the Ford GT indicates to me that we're backing off that trend and heading back towards high accuracy and high articulation, rather than just high accuracy.

I dunno...one of the black hinges (robot waist/car floorboard) snapped on my Mirage- it was glued to the blue flap at the factory, apparently...I mean, it doesn't affect transformation any, just one part of it snapped. One side of the license plate sticks out more than the other too. But he's so cool...I don't wanna return it for another Mirage :D

If we see McLaren and Mercedes CLK-GTR molds, then we'll talk exotic.

Amen, brother. I mean heck, the GT-40 is still just a Ford. :usa

If you really wanna get nitpicky, the CLK-GTR is still just a Mercedes... you know, the same guys that make taxis and utility trucks for use in Europe. :tflaugh

:redface

True

That was a big "WTF?" for me when I visited Europe for the first time

In fact, I couldn't contain my excitement, even though it was raining, and all I had was my crappy camera phone...but I found Sideswipe...with his top up..hahaha

Earlier model year'd :tflaugh

On my way to work today I was driving behind a Citroën C4 and I just couldn't help visualising it transforming into a robot! Am I the only one who would love to see a Citroën BT/Alt?

dn: thats funny u mention this problem cuz my mirage had the same issues... ur talking about the blue piece that folds inwards above the torso? mine also looked like that piece was superglued to the seat and when folding it i snapped the hindge... it was so loose on mine that u could swivel the piece away. MEH. unfortunatly for this mirage i did return it for this and other quality control reasons. and i thought i was the only 1 with this problem.

and the knee rimz took a while to get used too.
