Even w/ your past "l hate him/ruv him after I got him" purchases, I can see this one being different. Mainly, you have to pay $100 up front before seeing him in person. If you'd like, you can drive to Iowa and I'll pull mine out of my bum long enough for you to check him out.

yeah but then he'd be colored black and purple

Exactly how I want him.

You know, I'll be honest -- I'm not crazy about the oars attached to his sides. It does have a "we didn't know what to do with this" feel about it. But you know, there's no such thing as a perfect figure. Heck, I've seen plenty of posts about problems with MP Convoy/20th Prime. But most of those are to do with functional problems like joints breaking, things getting floppy, etc. It seems to me that Starscream's hip wings were designed precisely to avoid issues like this. It may not look as good aesthetically, but I'm willing to bet that the figure is more durable / stable as a result. I really wasn't sure about the weight of the whole thing potentially resting on those tail fins.

So... you know, everything's a tradeoff. Sure there's stuff about him that I would have done differently. But that doesn't invalidate the awesomeness of the figure. I dunno, just saying.

These last few posts just made me laugh. I love reading these boards.

On topic, gimme mah Starscream already!!!

Hot Rod just reminded me of Spaceballs.

"No! I hate you! I hate you! ....And yet, I find you strangely attractive."

Meh. Even in that pic, MP SS is still taller than the Alts. Still a cool figure IMO.

EDIT: Oh, and I just read the last five or so posts... :tflaugh

I'll definately buy one if he's out at Botcon.

Otherwise...who knows?

For me, he was, was mind you, the toy at the top of my list of expensive toys to buy. Now he's in maybe third. I've got a little expnsive project going, which requires the purchase of MP Prime, a Yamato 1/48 Valkyrie, a Perfect Grade Gundam model, and Toynami's MP Voltron. That's about half a grand as is. Starscream does not fit in with this, I want to get him because I like the plane, and the character. I can wait on him until after I get my "12" robot cartoon heroes of the 1980's" display finished. He could not fit in with this group, he's just too SMALL.

Also, half way done with the project, got MP Prime and the Valk. Gonna get Voltron next.
