Mp Convoy/MP Starscream size comparison shot

Recommended Posts

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but IMO the toy company really dropped the ball in terms of the size/scale they chose for MP-3. Awesome fig, none the less, he looks so puny compared to MP-1. To me it seems they were more concerned with the alt mode than what most of us are concerned with. I don`t know, maybe it`s me, I`m just Outback about the proper scale(or very close to the same) with my figures of this detailed calibur since I like to portray them in battle scenes and such. I`m still a little bugged about "Classics" Astrotrains size as well. Is it that hard to come up with a correct size or do they really don`t care? Or do they really want the leaders of each line to really stand out? And yes I know that an F-15 jet at 1:24 scale would be massive but I`m not as concerned with the alt mode size. I`m talking about I would rather have a toon/comic accurate size bot mode. Anyway... I`ll still get this kick ass fig, I was just wondering about the thoughts and opinions of other Outback-retentive pricks like me.

I'll wait for the alt mode comparison pic to cast my judgement.

Wow, that is small. I'm a bit disappointed by that. I'll still get it regardless.

I came to peace with all the coloring issues and hip kibble, but I have to agree that I was disappointed in his robot-mode height. One more inch would have been great....

Sums it up pretty nicely, but just b/c, I will repost what I said in the other thread a couple of days ago.

The size alone kills it for me. Looks like he's the same height as the GF Starscream standing next to him.

Still waiting for Hasbro to announce the Alternators version.

fan2fan has pics up of MPSS which include a comparison shot w/ MP Prime here.

I must say that I am disappointed. Looking at those comparison pics and then looking at my Prime and BTs/Alts, I would say that MP SS is virtually the same size as Nemesis Prime, but not as bulky. I love the gimmicks on SS, but the size, the colors, the removal of the Decepticon emblems and the kibble on the new mold are all big disappointments.

SS needed to come up to Prime's pecs to qualify as being somewhat cartoon size accurate I think. Instead he just comes up to Prime's waist. Another inch, inch and a half of height would have made all the difference.

I really do think that this is nothing but a deluxe Alt w/ more detail.

And a size comparaison with binaltech here:
