Transformers - Cybertron Galaxy Force Optimus Prime

Recommended Posts

The mouthplate problem doesn't surprise me at all. This isn't the first time they had a problem with it on a repainted Prime.

When I finally broke down and opened my Armada Prime repaint, I found that the mouthpiece was a bit crooked and stressed. I loved that repaint, but that mouthplate made me wish that I had never opened the box.

I like the new colors on this Prime. I saw one at Walmart a couple of weeks ago but left it there because of an unsightly paint chip on his head. Haven't seen another one yet. Hell, I still haven't even gotten Galvatron yet.

I was just gonna wait and pick him up whenever TF's went on sale again somewhere....but of course NOBODY has had any sales on TF's all frickin year!!! :wtf

I would probably get it just for the key :drool

But I won't.

Same.

But again won't.

Nice pics and review, thank you. I just bought the leader class prime, but really have no urge to buy this one.

pass :tdown

Same. It's not a great toy to begin with. Only its supermode is worth mentioning anything about.

Are you serious? Cybertron Optimus Prime is one of the best TFs ever, in many fans' opinions.

I'm not a huge fan of the repaint, but not so much that my OP mania will prevent me from picking it up. My only real beef with the figure is the black thighs and biceps; I wish they had left them alone, or perhaps gone with chrome or something else to offset the black forearms/legs. Also, the blue apps on the legs should go, and if I get it, I will likely paint them yellow.

he looks pritty nice in sonic wing mode but spending an extra £20 to make a toy i spent £40 look nice isnt that smart sounding and since i have sonic convoy aswell as regular G convoy i realy dont need a 3rd of this mold (even tho its quite nice)

Actually, it's better than I thought. The only complaint I have is with the unpainted face when he's in regular robot mode. The key is awesome. The red gun looks good too. The black really does make him darker themed all together. Skip it if you must, but it's a really cool looking figure.

As I predicted, when I saw this at Toysrus this past weekend, I snatched it up. I was pleasantly surprised by the figure. The vehicle mode looks more like a fire truck than the original due to the extra red paint apps, and the black instead of blue really makes him stand out on my "Prime" shelves. I especially like having him displayed in Sonic Wing mode, as the color scheme of this combination is very, very nice, better than the original. A few months ago, I was considering getting a 2nd original Cybertron OP just so both Super and Sonic modes could be on display. (I know, it's crazy, but I love the Primes and this mold is for sure worth buying twice.) Having the redeco to buy instead of a second copy of the original makes the purchase more justified.

In short, if you like Primes, get this guy. He is different enough from the original to be worthwhile!

The colors on this repaint really dont work for me. Then again I didn't pick up the first copy either. RID gave me one fire truck Prime, thats enough for me.
