JUST QUOTED 8/24/06 by Robert Orci on the movie website

Yeah, I don't think they'll be completely revamping them either. I do figure they'll do a nice polish job on them between now and then though.

It's funny how all of a sudden, everyone is a movie expert.

CGI for films is usually rendered at about 1.4–6 megapixels. Toy Story, for example, was rendered at 1536 × 922 (1.42MP). The time to render one frame is typically around 2–3 hours, with ten times that for the most complex scenes. This time hasn't changed much in the last decade, as image quality has progressed at the same rate as improvements in hardware, since with faster machines, more and more complexity becomes feasible. Exponential increases in GPUs processing power, as well as massive increases in parallel CPU power, storage and memory speed and size have greatly increased CGI's potential.

so yea... i'm sure that within a year they're going to do COMPLETELY NEW animation...

Did I say they would re-render anything? You guys are really good at not reading someone's post.

everybody's saying (including the movie producers, ect...) that everythings going to be drasticly different by the time the movie comes out compared to the leaked pics. your not saying it outright but it's implyed.

Oh?

for the record that was posted before i saw your other post. and yea, everybody's making it out like everything going to be soooooooo different when the movie comes out but realy theres not much they can do

Wow. Thread go all crashy...

I was afraid I'd finally get in here and I'd have posted 40 times.

Anyhoo...

Maxi. I love you. I just wanted you to know that.

I can mechanically speaking think of a few dozen ways to show emotion. One also is a factor of camera angle, angle up "suspence" angle down "anger" meantime, what we're seeing's gonna get flamed no matter what. Angry fans say stupid things and make us all look like idiots.

Not to be a naysayer of doom, but.....

This movie is set to release in July of '07.

That's less than a year away.

Post production on a movie such as this takes at least that amount of time.

Models of the characters are done. Maybe some extra kibble and such,

but what we're seeing is pretty much what we gonna get....

Kal

I think that is very valid observation and I tend to agree we're too far into this to make a serious change. Those character panels would say they were not final production if that was the case. What's more is Orci says the post-production will make all the difference. So that pretty much supports your observation IMO. :thumb

For the record, so were my other posts and none of them said anything about my view of it either. But, hey. It's all good. I understand that it's a big day.

Yeah, there were a hell of a lot of people on TFans like 10 minutes ago and you had posted a lot of times, but I cleaned it up. That's what I do. :thumb

The last thing I want to do right now is keep this going, but... where did I say anything like that? I never have thought that these things would look completely different from what they do now. Of course, FWIW, I never expected them to look like they do now either. :D
