yeah I'm with you on that one... and that Megs is sadly lacking as well. I'm fine with a handless BW Megs but not a Tank Megs.

well he doesnt really suck... its just that not only has prime been done to death, but that prime in particular, has been done to death. and megs seems like he need more paint apps. but theyre both pretty decent looking. cant pass up leaders though. i think thats a rule.

Save for the power punch action (which is a kind of wtf imo), this is what Classics Prime should have been. IMO, the official Classics Prime will be my G2 Classics Prime and this one will be my G1 Classics Prime. As for Megs, meh. I don't mind. I think it looks kinda cool.

 

As for Jetfire, I'm digging the cross between G1 and WWi.

I'll definitely be passing these up. I like the regular classics megs and prime alot more, i'm not feelin these at all. I will have no trouble leavin this pack behind.

I'm with everyone who feels G1 Prime has been done to DEATH. I for one really like how Megatron changes in each series. Why Prime has to stay the same is a real puzzler. I mean, Rodimus Prime still blows goats for quarters, but changing up Optimus every so often would be refreshing.

This set looks pretty awesome, the only things missing are a couple better paint apps on Prime (silver grille and bumper, silver stacks, and red paint around the headlights), the ability for his legs to retract, and a second hand molded on that arm for Megs.

 

But all in all, pretty sharp.

I'm definitely feeling the same way about this set. The Voyager leaders look a hella lot better than these. They're not terrible asthetically just not really all that impressive. If I do come across the set it'll be for tank Megs more than Optimus who IMO makes Bendy Prime look like a masterpiece in both molds.

I think the "Power Punch Action" and "Spinning Battle Blade" gimmicks are cool. Reminds me of the old Masters of the Universe toys back in the 80's. :tflaugh
