They have reissued Laser Optimus Prime, so why not G2 Megatron? Unless they actually can't, due to damage or loss of the mold, I think G2 Megatron deserves a reissue.

WEll, the mold isn't so hard to get so I don't see it getting reissued, he was kind of reissued during BW jp also.

and the bw(neo or second?) is pretty affordable to.

idd be up for a reissue my G2 megs has taken a beating from when i was a kid and a 2nd would be nice for the shelf but they would have to change the colours like they did with prime

No, it's not the same thing. I got Megastorm since it came with Apache (I never got B'Boom) and at the time I didn't have G2 Megs but I thought having Megastorm would be close enough. It wasn't. Shortly after I got Apache Vs Megastorm, I went and bought myself a G2 Megatron. Thankfully G2 TFs were easier and cheaper to find back in 1998. ;)

 

G2 Megatron is a pretty crap toy. It's not just a larger version of the purple combat hero Megatron mould - it's an unarticulated BRICK. Its level of articulation and poseability are only rivaled by the likes of Powermaster Optimus Prime and Star Convoy.

 

Besides, how hard is it to find a G2 Megatron these days?

yeah. that tank Megs has its own good points, but it just doesn't capture the essence of G2 Megatron IMO.

 

Although as much as I hate to say it, G2 Megs is a giant brick. I love him but he's a giant brick. What I'd really love to see is a Voyager-sized articulated "remake"... and with the same X-TREME colors and Jay Leno chin.
