I don't think the next show will be based around the classics line...the movie will most likely the launch pad for a new series.

 

And we shouldn't let Japan go near it.

The Americans have never made a Transformers cartoon since G1, and even there, they cooperated with the Japanese.

 

Beast Wars and Beast Machines were Canadian, and every show since then have just been dubs of Japanese TF series.

The only toon Classics will have is The Transformers the Movie 20th anniversary DVD

as for the jap shows, they have been top notch. It is just the usa dubbed versions that have been crap.

Barely. I mean I own Headmasters and it is passable. It started off really good with loads of potential but soon throws all of that down the drain and the show becomes rather mediocre.

 

Masterforce does not start off too well but it could get better. Still, I am not getting my hopes up.

 

Armada, Energon and Cybertron are poor (well not so much Cybertron) because the Japanese insist of having those annoying humans play a vital role in the cartoons. The G1 cartoon did have Spike and Sparkplug but they were never annoying and only had a side-role.

 

R.I.D. did good in that area as well. Koji was not annoying nor was he always present in the episodes to a point where you could no longer stand him. (Kicker anyone?)

 

I would love to see another show made in the US or Canada. Beast Wars and Beast Machines are the best Transformers series ever and I would love for Transtech to be made.

 

The Japanase should keep their hands off Transformers. Aside from R.I.D. none of their shows are really good and some just plain suck. Even their animation is bad.

 

I mean BM was made years before Cybertron but in BM the faces of Transformers at least show emotions and look lifelife. When I look at Cybertron after seeing BM, I want to cry.

I agree. The only good shows that we got from Japan imo were RiD and Cybertron. Armada and Energon had too much comic relief type stuff in it.

 

If a new series is going to spawn off of the film, they need to make it with the existing characters and make it work in tandem with the sequal so people won't be like WTF, that wasn't in the show and stuff like that. That's why the show "My Big Fat Greek Life" (which was a spinoff of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding) didn't last long. It didn't tie in with the movie very well.

I love G1. And the Classics line is shaping up nicely...

 

But after Beast Wars and the amount of storytelling and slick animation, it's CGI. All the way!

 

I know styles come and go. And Anime would be great, but "Pixar" style animation is the new standard.

 

Watch. Let's see what happens...
