I have 4 versions of this mold, I think that it's one of the best Megatrons out there. My favorite version is SL Galvatron G.

 

I agree: SL Galvatron-G really is (IMO) the best version of this mold.

 

I already had E Megs and when I got Galvatron-G I decided I really wanted a bigger version of this. But when I saw pics of E Galvatron that was such a let down. SL Galvatron-G really has the best colorscheme, far more balanced in colors, and it's a shame Hasbro didn't copy this.

I, on the other hand, prefer E-Galvatron over the "Knock-off" look of Galvatron G. To each their own.

 

I bought E-Galvatron for $27 US. I feel the toy is worth that much, because it is rather brickish, and the knee joints are the "so tight you feel like it'll break" bad.

The smaller version of Megatron was in a sense the Cartoon paint scheme version(Takara version) of Galvatron, I honestly wish that they would have made the smaller cartoon acurete Galvatron-G then produced what I call the Unicron Possessed Galvatron figure later(the hasbro Galvatron).

Don't care much for the Megatron, it's a little basic, but it DOES make quite a G1 Accurate Galvatron figure. If it was more detailed it would be fantastic. Worth the money if you're any good at repaints, probably.

Great fig - get it! Tho there are deals to be had online.

 

I too prefer the SL version. The bigger one feels slightly KOish to me.

wow. i cant beleive how mant people like the sl one. his colors were so odd. the purple wasnt as dark as e galvie (which people seem to lament about anime reissue galvie) and his crown among other things is baby blue. or some other light shade of blue. or it at least looks like blue from the pics ive seen. imo, e galvie is a god amongst many tfs released before it.

 

also e galvies little red bits were shiney. its not chrome red like the anime galvie, but its just nice and shiney. i was really impressed with his paint apps.

I had SL-Galvy & I sold it straight away. I hated it.

Energon Megatron is awesome. I recommend it if it's still there when you go back.

I personally like Energon Megatron (2 pack with Prime the most.)

IMO the best mold for a Megatron/Galvatron/Decepticon leader for a LONG time...

I've got the three American releases and like them all. They have been in storage since Cybertron took over my display shelves. The problem is that the clear bendy plastic inside their wings (that flips out) has warped and is hard to get back into shape :grr
