Is Energon Megatron

Recommended Posts

I went to the toy department at my local Zellers and I found Energon Megatron. It's quite possible that it was from last year's stock because I scanned the toy box's barcode and found that it was $40 CDN. What I would like to know is this? Is Energon Megatron worth the $40 price tag or should I save my money and buy Cyberton Megatron?

I personally like Energon Megatron (2 pack with Prime the most.)

IMO the best mold for a Megatron/Galvatron/Decepticon leader for a LONG time...

I don't know what the CDN to US$ conversion is... but given that Energon is like a year old, it should cost too much. btw, if you interested, I have a smaller Energon Meg. if you want it (shameless plug, muhahahahah)

E Megsy is IMO one of the best/better Megatron's there is. I can't compare him to C Mega/Galvatron because I didn't buy that mold -- which is already saying something, I suppose.

If I'm not mistaken then his original price was something like $ 35 and that was well worth it. I don't know how much $ CDN is (but I think it's less than $ 35), but it seems like a fair price. Of course, there's no crime in trying to get it for less. Figure was released quite a while ago (2004?) so it seems only fair that you'd get it for less than the original price.

Yes. He's worth your buck in any of his awesome incarnations.

You're mistaken. US Leader Class figs are currently $39.99. In Canada I think they are $59-69 so $40 is a deal there I guess. He's worth it. Nice fig. I had fun try to come up with good poses for my E Galvatron but his articulation is boring compared to C-Megs though. For instance, E-Megs has 4 points in each arm and C Megs has 6. E Megs has 3 leg points in each leg and C Megs has 7. C Megs has some waist action too.

I didn't think he was worth $40 when I saw him. Galvatron might have been, but I never saw him.

There's nothing wrong with the mold (though I prefer my smaller one), but considering E-Megs was one of the biggest shelfwarmers IN HISTORY (next to E-Scorponok) and they were practically giving the damn things away this time a year ago, I'm going to say no, he most certainly is not worth $40.

I have 4 versions of this mold, I think that it's one of the best Megatrons out there. My favorite version is SL Galvatron G.

You are right about the shelfwarmer part. A local Walmart had 20 of there original shipment on the figs as late as last Xmas.

Covered in dust.
