Does your Alt Mirage have any Quality Control problems??

Recommended Posts

Only other thing I can think of was the designersflaw of not having a place for his chestplate to lock in.

I find that super-annoying, it makes it impossible to pick him up without having to readjust half his body panels.

Mine had no QC issues. But I saw another one at the store recently who's paint-job left something to be desired.

The pin that holds the engine compartment lid isn't secured in anyway so it slides out and then the hood falls off. Other than that my Mirage doesn't have any problems.

I got one where excess glue from the car seats seeped into the hinge for the floor/belly panels. Transforming him the first time snapped/broke the lower part of the hinge. Doesn't affect transformation, but it's still friggin' anoying.

:pfx :grr

mine had the glue problem that someone mentioned earlier. luckily. I was able to fix it.

I repaired the broken bit with SuperGlue, holds really well & can't be noticed... except by me. :grr

I got one with no dick

No one cares about your personal problems we're talking about alt mirage.

My Mirage is excellent bar the loose left leg joint. Only other thing I can think of was the designersflaw of not having a place for his chestplate to lock in.

Mine also has a loose left leg to hip joint. Other than that, he's a-ok.

I should say other then the glue problem on the hip thing. my mirage was nice and tight all over.

Mine also has that loose left hip, but also has a smudge on the white stripe of the hatchback that someone tried to repair with a brush at the factory. Can't see it in robot mode or from the front in car mode so it's alright with me.

Otherwise this is an amazing figure, soooo many moving parts. However, despite all of the moving parts I haven't come close to having any of them fall off. The doors, hoods, arms and legs all seem to be designed to stay in place, more than I can say for the Mustang or RX-8 molds.

I've had the following problems with the following alts:

Reissued Meister's heels are kind of floppy

Skid's waist is kinda loose, as is Wheeljack's right arm

Prowl's feet are kinda loose causing him to fall backwards

Sunstreaker's left black stripe on his roof is chipping (have to touch that up)

And that's about it. I'm expecting my Mirage to come via UPS either next week or the week after. It was pre-ordered and the bill and stuff from amazon was printed up and taped to the top of the Meister package for my bday two weeks ago.

Some VERY minor paint overspray on the right front quarter panel, where the door hinge is. The silver crept out a bit onto the blue. Other than that, mine is fine; tight joints, included his head, guns, and correct hands, which actually amazes me considering the box this guy came in. The fishbowl packaging was literally wrapped around the figure. I have never seen a more demolished example of a toy's packaging. Can't beat that with a stick!
