Well, I figure if Hasbro's marketing department thinks that an all-plastic reissue of 20th Prime is gonna be a hot seller, then they've got to be smoking crack to not recognize the market for a US release of MP Starscream in Geewun colors.

I'd be more then happy with him IF When Hasbro releses him they LIGHTEN His Dark Gray Body to and Light Gray- Darker White, That would Improve everything about him, no question.

It's not just that they showed us protos.  It all started with THS-02, when they basically put an ad inside the box saying "this is what MP-03 is going to look like!" and then, after selling us on one product, switched it to something else entirely.  I think that if it had not been for that ad I wouldn't be half as vexed right now.

I stand by my statement.  This is an entirely different mold than the original.  Yes, entirely.  In a very literal, and factual sense.  They made one mold, then they scrapped it in favor of another.  The first was similar to the original schematic line drawings used in MP-03's advertising.  The second was not based on those drawings.  It's a completely original design.  I didn't really say that it was bad, just different.  I will, however, call it bait and switch.

When I first got Alt. Smokescreen, the first Alt on the market, I thought that it was the Transformer I'd been waitng my whole life for. I'm considering rethinking that with MP-03.  :thumb

I loved my G1 Smokescreen when I was little. I only had 3 TF cars as a kid (Smokescreen, Tracks & Hot Rod) so they were my faves.

 

A couple of years ago, sitting on the toilet & flicking through the Argos catalogue I saw... ALT SMOKESCREEN!!!

 

The colours are so unlike the original that I just  couldn't face buying it straight away & starting collecting Transformers again...
