So is this also seen on the 20th Hasbro version? You would think since there's a face, then they should have made the faceplate easily removable. Oh well, it is kind of spooky. What I wonder is who was curious enough in the first place to remove the faceplate to find out if there was a face!

You can see the very top of it if you push his faceplate down all the way normally. Someone probably saw it and went "holy crap, there's detail under here, lets see what the rest of it's like."

Incidently, I don't think they're "Teeth". It's a speaker, like seen during the G2 comic. :nuts

actually, the US 20th prime has a different face underneath. the mouth is straight across and closed from what I can tell (you can actually see it under the mask if you hold the head at the right angle)

Also, it looks as if they designed the face to be reused on another MP later on. I would still love to see them release a new MP transformer every year or so.

That makes sense. :thumb

They probably were gonna make it removable, but there were so many complaints about that pic, they scrapped the idea. I don't care anyway. MP Prime kicks ass. :tflaugh

That is fugly....

can't be done. i tried it. his head only has one visible screw which i unscrewed. doing so doesn't acomplish anything. that head does NOT come apart....

In fact, it does.

(Notice the parts lying behind the screwdriver. :P)

Just be careful in prying the helmet halves apart, lest ye scratch the plastic.

The mask takes a bit of pressure to slip down off his chin (thanks to the design of the hinge).

And when putting it back together, the indent on the button's post goes AROUND the lever on the mask hinge! (and the spring goes in the hole on the button post)

:D

AUGH! HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?!?!? does it involve more than one screw or what? please explain!!

I hate that face.....it gives me nightmares.
