Good God, WTF is up with people wanting cars to turn into animals. Great sketch btw but IMPO that looks stupider than a bot with a cat head. Either give a bot a vehicular alt or a beastie alt mode not both. It just does not work. I really have no problem with Ravage being an updated animal but please not one that turns into a car. Worst ****ing idea ever.

 

If this does turn out to be something similar to alt Ravage I am really hoping for Alt Cheetor at this point. As said I would much rather take a kitty head over a car "pretending" to be an animal.

 

That is all until more news developes.

 

Oh and since Prime has now been reduced to an itty bitty Ram pickup Megatron as a Caddy is no big deal to me any longer. A tank would be nice sure but Alts have kind of distanced themselves from MPs so whatever they do with him is fine by me. As long as he doesn't tower over Prime I'll be happy and be sure to get em. :thumb

Ahhhhhh I don't think so. My expectations are kinda limited however, what the fans are going off of is there was a post listing that the new Jagquar alt was named Ravage. The Cadi didn't have a name so we are not totaly sure if it will be megs but we are acting like thats confermed. The Jag though already has a listed name as ravage.

 

Now, no one wants to see another robot w/ a kitty head just ploped on top of it. This is why everyone is stired up over hoping it becomes a 4 legged wild animal with tail and all.

Im thinking if this IS to be another ravage, theirs no way its gonna be another 'regular' bot, since that already exists...sorta.  An animal 'bot mode is perfect, and I think its a brilliant idea.  I just want this alt mode to be the XK series.  And Steeljaw would be a natural for the repaint. Or Razorclaw. Or Rampage. Sky Lynx would be a stretch, but maybe. 

 

Whats most infuriating is that if we do see an alt with animal alt mode, I can just hear the flood of "dammit, I told you T-rex alt grimlock woulda worked!"

And what would make all those  :tfevil Grimlock :tfevil people wrongwrongwrong is the fact that G1 Grimlock actually had a robot mode. I'm not trying to support the stance of "Alts are Geewon redone" but still.

Im sorry it will look Powerglideing retarded in a line when all the other bots walk up right. Ravage had an awsome bio to suport the kittie head since he was BW ravage. Now why the hell would he go back to 4 legs when thats clearly only going to hold him back in his plans to change history and renember its only a PLACE HOLDER thats NOT the name of the toy. Now why ravage i can only asume its down to Jaguar being Ravages name in japan and since thier desinged by the same japanese designer as the car brothers from RiD that at some point between takaratomy, hasbro and walmart thier was a little missunderstanding. but i DO know its a place holder since it was reported by the same person who posted the news in the first place

 

oh and we are only asuming is the XK since it just says jaguar and thier are quite a few jags that could be used. also keep in mind the new XK was 1st shown after the news of a jag was leaked so im guessing it could even be the old XK (the same story that was behind tracks being a c5 when the c6 just started selling)

They don't. The listing said "TRA JAGUAR - RAVAGE = 81361", we know it is a Jaguar car, but to be also called Ravage is what has people speculating that it's an animal bot mode and not another humanoid bot mode of the same character. Of course as others have pointed out this is just a place holder name and the name isn't written in stone, but that's the nature of speculation.

Would it make any more sense to be another Wheeljack? Animal-ish or not, we've already got a Ravage character. It must be a placeholder then.
